    Name here is Paul. QTH is Charleston, Oregon located near North Bend/Coos Bay. I've been a ham since 1994 when I was licensed as  a Novice Class with KC7CHB. I upgraded to my current call (KJ7LB) when I progressed to Advanced Class in 1996. When I achieved Extra Class  (2004) I opted to retain my call.

    My membership to Fists came about in 1996 with member number 2453. My rig is a Ten Tec Jupiter and my antenna is currently a Hustler 4BTV.

    I travel a fair amount and have found it convenient to operate on the internet with "qsonet.com". If you think it easy or fun to try to string an antenna up in a hotel room, think again. With qsonet.com all I need is an internet connection and I'm working cw. Admittedly this is not radio; however, I always fire up my Jupiter when I'm at home and limit my internet cw to traveling.

    My XYL (Jill) and I have been married over thirty-four years and have two grown children and two grandchildren. I am a Vietnam veteran and am still working as a commercial helicopter pilot.
