Classes I've taken at Rutgers:

General Study classes:

Expository Writing 101 - Crappiest class in the world, but every damn student has to take it. Lots of essays.

Professor - I don't remember her name, but we had to do oral presentations in class.

Expository Writing 102 - Research paper class, still crappy. I hate writing papers.

Professor - Mr. McNiven - he was kewl, I took this class over the summer. He taught Urban Life, that was our topic. I rate him as a 4 out of 5. 

What I learned: Doing library research for paper.                Rating(4 out of 10).  My Grade: B

Basic Composition - Horrible writing class, just as dumb as Expos101.

Professor - I don't remember.  

What I learned: Absolutely nothing.                                    Rating(1 out of 10).  My Grade: C+

Calculus 1 - hard as hell class. I didn't like it.

Professor - Dr. Knop - he taught pretty well, but calculus is just boring. He manages to get chalk all over himself. I rate him as a 3 out of 5. 

What I learned: Derivatives and Integrals                            Rating(2 out of 10 )  My Grade: C+

Calculus 2 - continuation of Calc 1, just as boring.

Professor - I don't remember her name, but it was some lady, she taught okay.

What I learned: Convergence and Summations                   Rating(3 out of 10) My Grade: B

Multivariable Calculus - I hated this class, had to use Maple.

Professor - I forgot his name also, he was an old man with a beard and he curses a lot in class.  

What I learned: Triple Integrals, Maple Labs                      Rating (2 out of 10)  My Grade: C+

Intro to Linear Algebra - another boring class involving Matrices.

Professor - Dr. Ginkin(sp?) - this guy had a bad accent, but he taught okay, I rate him as a 4 out of 5. 

What I learned - Matrices                                                  Rating (4 out of 10)  My Grade: B+

Chemistry 1&2 - Sucky class. I hate chemistry.

Professor - Dr. Martin - she was really good, gave good examples and explained everything clearly.  I rate her as a 5 out of 5.    

What I learned - chemistry sucks!!!                                   Rating (2 out of 10 for both)  My Grades: B, C+

Philosophy 103 - pretty easy class, just some reading and essay midterm and final.

Professor - Batori - he was pretty cool even though the class was boring. Good teacher but crappy class.

What I learned - arguments of Descartes                           Rating (8 out of 10) My Grade: B+

World Civilization (Atlantic) - worst class ever, it was an essay writing class that can be used as English credits.

Professor - Howard - he was a okay teacher, he's always happy and enjoys the stuff he teaches, but I didn't like the class.

What I learned - history sucks as usual                              Rating (1 out of 10) My Grade: C

Computer classes:

Intro to Computer Science (CS111) - This class taught me the basics of Java and object-oriented programming.

Professor - Ricter - good teacher, but the class is extremely boring. Uses slides on a projector.  I rate him as a 4 out of 5.

TA - Pedro - he was awesome, this guy was da bomb. He gave easy quizzes and he explained everything really well. Rating 5 out of 5.

What I learned - programming in Java.                              Rating (7 out of 10). My Grade: B

Data Structures (CS112) - binary trees, linked lists, and graphs using java.

Professor - Kaplan - okay teacher, doesn't explain things well and ignored my emails. I rate him as a 3 out of 5.

TA - Doris - she was okay, explained things clearly and quizzes were medium diffiiculty in my opinion.  Rating 4 out of 5. 

What I learned - more programming in Java                      Rating (7 out of 10).  My Grade: B+

Discrete Structures 1 - (CS205) - a lot of logic crap and algebra.

Professor - Chavatal - the guy was a moron, he could hardly speak english. No proctors on the final exam, he left the room and everyone started cheating. There were no ID checks for his exams either. This guy totally sucks!!!  Rating 0 out of 5.  

What I learned - truth tables, union sets                             Rating (4 out of 10). My Grade: B

Discrete Structures 2 - (CS206) - very boring class, probability sucks.

Professor - Szmeredi(sp?) - this guy sucked too, I couldn't understand his english. I only went to about 20% of his lectures. Rating 0 out of 5.

What I learned - probability and trees                               Rating (4 out of 10). My Grade: A

Computer Architecture (CS211) - assembly language and a lot of boring stuff.

Professor - Levy - this guy can't teach for crap, he mumbles a lot and talks to the board. For his exam he takes problems from the practice exam because he is too lazy to make up new problems. Rating 1 out of 5.

What I learned - finite state machines, assembly language. Rating (5 out of 10). My Grade: A

Numerical Analysis (CS323) - lots of crappy calculus and math stuff. Programming in Matlab.

Professor - Sink - this guy taught word for word out of the crappy textbook. He sucked, gave too much homework. Rating 2 out of 5. 

What I learned - absolutely nothing                                  Rating (4 out of 10). My Grade: C+

Principles of Programming (CS314) - good class, I learned C++, Scheme, and Prolog doing projects.

Professor - Paull - this guy totally sucks, he can't teach for crap. I only went to less than half his lectures.

What I learned - C++, Scheme, Prolog                           Rating (8 out of 10). My Grade: B

Physics:

Principles of Astrophysics 1&2 - best class I've ever taken. No exams, grade based on homeworks.

Professor - Matilsky - He was the best professor I've had so far at Rutgers. This guy was the man. No exams rule!!!  

What I learned - white dwarves are opposite of a chocolate cake, getting the right answer is BS, Pi cancels out with 10, wooden sun problem

Modern Optics - very boring class, managed to pass after failing midterm and final, how the hell did that happen?

Professor - Lovelace - aka Merlin aka Father Time, he was kewl but boring as hell. He talked funny. Rating 4 out of 5 

What I learned - my teacher is Merlin the Wizard            Rating (1 out of 10). My Grade: B

Analytical Physics 1a,b - very boring, my teacher looked like Einstein.

Professor - Snetzer - boring teacher but did some interesting experiments. Rating 3 out of 5. 

What I learned - Newton's laws, Kepler's laws               Rating (8 out of 10 for both)  My Grades: C+, C

Analytical Physics 2a,b - cool class, teacher dressed up as Darth Vader on Halloween.

Professor - Bartynski - wacky teacher, but teaches well, provides good notes. Rating 5 out of 5.

What I learned - lots of physics crap                               Rating (8 out of 10 for both)  My Grades: B, B

Misc. Classes:

Digital Logic Design - engineering class, didn't even need it. Very Crappy!!!  

What I learned - boolean algebra                                    Rating(4 out of 10). My Grade: B

Statics - boring and crappy class, lots of physics problems to do.  

What I learned - I forgot.                                               Rating (3 out of 10)  My Grade: A

Intro to Fortran - crap computer class, nobody uses freakin Fortran anymore.

Professor - Lehman - boring as hell. Rating 2 out of 5. 

What I learned - Fortran 90                                           Rating (5 out of 10)  My Grade: B+
