The complete Pennsylvania Rules of Court are available online at the website for the Pennsylvania Code. We believe the format for these rules could be more user-friendly, so selected portions also have been made available here on our privately sponsored Pennsylvania Statutes website. Though available instantaneously over the web, however, these rules may not be current. Court decisions overturning them, later rules amending them, and a host of other factors come into play when interpreting them. They are provided here as a resource. They should provide some information about the state of the law. However, a competent lawyer, who will research the law to insure what is current, and advise as to their meaning should always be employed in matters of importance. Further, promulgation of the Rules of Court by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court does not indicate the court's determination of constitutionality for rules adopted.
