MATERIALS: Worsted Wt. yarn (small amt), cro hook size E, small amt of polyester filling, Yarn needle No gauge specified.
SIZE: Approximately 2 1/2" high.
DIRECTIONS: (Make 2)
Beg at top ch 2.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with a sl st at beg sc.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in same st as joining, 2 sc in ea rem sc around, join with a sl st in beg sc; 16 sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as a dc), dc in ea sc around, join with a sl st in top of beg ch 3.
Rnds 4-6: Ch 3, dc in ea dc around, join with a sl st in top of beg ch 3; 16 dc.
Rnd 7: Ch 1, 5 hdc in next dc (shell made) * sc in next dc, shell in next dc; rep from * around, join with a sl st in beg ch 1. Finish off.
CLAPPERS: (make two)
Ch 11
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch across; ch 1, turn.
Rnds 2-10: Sc in ea sc; ch 1 turn.
At end of Rnd 10, do not ch; finish off, leaving 8" lingth of yarn for closing. With yarn needle, weave into every other st around all four sides, stuff and draw closed tightly. Finish off.
TIES:
With 2 9" lengths of yarn attach to top of clapper and draw up through top of bell-do the same with other clapper and bell. Tie bells together making one knot at top of bell and 1 knot at the cut ends.
BOW:
Using approx 30" length of yarn ch entire length, tie into bow and attach to knot at top of bells.
