Place 6 squares in a row to form a strip (see diagram). Whipstitch squares together along one edge, working both loops of each st. Whipstitch edge A of first square to edge B of 6th square. Piece forms a ring and the 6th square covers instep and toes diagonally. Pin sole to slipper top, easing or stretching squares as needed. Using 1 strand of yarn, sc top to sole, forming a ridge around the edge.

Starting in corner sp of 6th square, sl st edges of 1st and 5th squares together up to and including the first dc of the final 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc corner. Sc around the entire top edge of the slipper, finish off.
Mark center dc on top edge of first and 5th squares.
