There are 2 layers to this scrunchie, hence the name "Pinafore".
Ch-3 at beginning of rounds on first layer counts as first dc.
BLO = back loop only
With MC sl st onto band and work 60 sc around band. Join with sl st in BLO of first sc.
Rnd 1: Working this round in BLO ch 3, 2 dc in same st, 3 dc in next sc and in each sc around. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch-3. (180 dc).
Rnds 2-4: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each remaining dc around. Join with sl st in 3rd. ch of beginning ch-3.
Rnd 5: Ch 4, trc in same st, * sk 3 dc, sl st in next dc, ch 4, trc in same st *. Repeat between * around ending by making last sl st in base of beg ch-4. Fasten off MC.
Rnd 1: Working this rnd in front loop, ch 5 (counts as first sc and ch 4), sc in next st, ch 4, * sc in next st, ch 4, repeat between * around, ending by working sl st in base of beg ch-5.
Rnds 2-5: Sl st into ch-4 space, sc in same sp, ch 4, * sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4 *, repeat between * around, ending by working sl st in base of beg sc. At end of rnd 5, fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
