MATERIALS: Size 6 steel hook; size 10 pink crochet thread; elastic hair band.
STITCHES:
V stitch = Dc, ch 2, dc
DIRECTIONS:
Sl st onto hair band:
Picot = C 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook
Rnd 1: Ch 5, dc (counts as first V st) 5 dc, * V st, 5 dc, repeat from * 10 times around band. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5. (77 dc, 11 ch-2 sps)
Rnd 2: Sl st in ch-2 sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, skip next dc, dc in next 2 dc, * V st in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, skip next dc, 5 dc in ch-2 sp, skip next dc, dc in next 2 dc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, V st in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, * skip next dc, 5 dc in ch-2 sp, skip next dc, dc in next 4 dc. Repeat from * ending with dc in last 2 dc, join.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next dc, V st in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, skip next dc, in ch-2 sp make 3 dc, picot, 3 dc, sk next dc, dc in next 6 dc, (dc, picot, dc) in next dc, dc in next 6 dc, skip next dc. Repeat from * around ending with dc in last 4 dc. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. Fasten off and weave in ends.
