MATERIALS: Size J hook ( but could use smaller/larger to adjust size of the square), 2 contrasting colors or 4 ply worsted weight yarn.
SIZE: about 3 1/2 inches square.
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Ch 3 for first dc in each row.
Ch 4, join to form ring.
Row 1: With color A: Crochet (3 dc, ch 2) 4 times in the ring ; join.
Row 2: With color B: Join yarn in any space or row 1. Crochet between each dc of row 1, crochet 2 dc, ch2, 2 dc into each corner space; join.
Row 3: Repeat row 2, join, and finish off
Here is the afghan I made using this pattern. I used the colors of the rainbow for the first color and black for the other. The afghan uses an "around the world" pattern.
