MATERIALS: Size I hook; white, black, and small strand of red 4 ply worsted weight yarn; 2 moveable eyes; small black pom pom
SIZE: Approximately 3 1/4" tall including hat.
DIRECTIONS:
FACE:
With white, ch 4, join to form ring.
HAT:
With black, follow directions for Rnd 1-2 for face, end off.
CORD: With white (or color of your choice), ch 80, end off.
FINISHING:
Hide all loose threads. Starting at the bottom of the face, weave cord in and out of the dc in Rnd 4. Fold circle for hat in half and shape it to look like a hat. Glue hat onto both front and back of the so that front covers Rnd 2 and back covers Rnd 3. Glue nose to middle of the face. Add eyes and small strand of red yarn for mouth.
VARIATION: Attach bell to bottom of the face in Round 3.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join to top of beg ch-3. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each dc around, join to top of beg ch-3. (24 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 3, in BLO, dc in each dc around, join to top of beg ch-3. (24 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join to top of beg ch-4, end off. (24 dc)
