ALTIMETER BAY

This is the removable altimeter bay and can quickly and easily be switched from one rocket to another.

The altimeter bay slides into the 54mm coupler housing that is permanently mounted in the rocket. In this application two ALTI-TUBES housings are permanently mounted in the payload section's coupler. A single 5/16" vent hole is used which is located next to the letter "T".

This pic shows how the ALTI-TUBE is used for apogee deployment only in a "Bruiser" type rocket. The ALTI-TUBE is loaded from the top of the rocket.

In an already built rocket, or ones with a large motor mount, the ALTI-TUBE housing can simply be mounted to the inner wall of the airframe for apogee deployment only
