This is the official web page of the
"Welcome to the eXtreme Front Line of Ghost Hunting."
The GSS is made up of a small group of people who seek a way to capture "ghosts" on film. Grave vandalism is sick. We have only the best intentions.
We have visited many cemeteries in hopes to find "something".
We have, in fact succeeded. Marcus (me), Lance and Wes were the founders of TheGSS. Soon after Adam, Jenny, Byron, and Allison. Others followed to fully assemble The Grave Stompers Society. All anomalies posted are on the negative and have been captured on film, with no doctoring up or editing whatsoever.
This site contains: Tips on Ghost Hunting, Hints on where to find Ghosts, Actual PICTURES of Spirits, Links to other areas on the web that fit this level of expertise, and instructions on subscribing to our FREE newsletter that is filled with all kinds of helpful hints.
In TheGSS, Adam is the one who seems to piss me off a lot. He goes with us on the hunts and takes part and everything, but if you ask him if he believes in Ghosts, he'll say, "I don't know." That stupid crap just gets under my skin. Well, I'm just venting. Enjoy the site.
We at TheGSS are aware that there are many ghost hunting sites out there, but we are different in the fact that TheGSS is the "arm" of Parapsychology that swings back at the moronic comments of the people out there who just don't want to listen and just want to tear down. The stupid thing about it all is that they just dismiss amazing proof that we get because they think that ghost are just folktale. If they would just open their eyes they would see. But that's too difficult I guess. What we do when investigating can be scary, but not half as scary as the thought that these people are passing along their close minded thoughts to their children.

"My Defense for the Field of Parapsychology"
Ghost Hunting is not what most people would call a "realistic" hobby. Well if you are one of those close-minded people who wouldn't believe the truth if it jumped up and broke your nose, get off our page, and go back to your model airplanes and jigsaw puzzles or something. Because if you don't want to see proof of the existence of a spirit world, you better not go further into this page. Ghost Hunting is more than a hobby, it's an art. It takes practice, dedication to your beliefs, and a whole lot of patience. Years ago, the only thing a person could go on the existence of ghosts was faith. Now there is all kinds of evidence coming into play. To discount these new findings just because everyone thinks that it is impossible, is more than arrogant, it's selfish. Your little unfounded comments toward those who believe is impeeding the progress of an entire field of SCIENCE. Parapsychology is about to make a huge breakthrough, and your words won't seem half as funny when your eating them. We may seem harsh to some people but someone has to stand up to the stupid little comments that are made. We are very content being the people to do it. This paragraph is not intended towards ALL skeptics, because it is good to have skepticism, to a point. You can't believe everything you hear about, but to totally denounce physical evidence and proof is more than idiotic, it's foolish. If you are thinking of starting a small level investigation and you don't really want to be mocked and picked on, tell only your true friends, and follow this old ghost hunting belief of Know ,Will, Dare, and Keep Silent. It will save you from the jeers of the stupid.
If you want to discuss this more, E-Mail us. We would love to hear some of your well thought out and intelligent comments.

"Where Can I find a Ghost?"
Well I can safely say cemeteries, with no doubt in my mind at all! That is the main area of the field TheGSS "dabbles in". You can find a ghost in many places. In the time I have been involved in the world of the Supernatural I have come across many kinds of places that have spirits residing in the area. Cemeteries, Churches, Murder Sites, Battlefields, Old areas, Old houses, and even some NEW HOMES. I have had numerous encounters with a STRONG spiritual presence, in a group of new homes. You can find a ghost in almost any type of place. Just look for some important clues: Does the place look haunted? has there been a death or some kind of large problem in the area (fire, flood, famine, plague, etc.), and probably most important, are there any legends or stories about the area? You should have good luck finding ghosts if you try the above tips.
"Who really know's "The Truth?"
"Lead with your instincts, forget what you've learned about what's real and what's not, and believe the truth, not what your mind tries to label as impossible."
"What Should I Bring?"
Well, good items to take on Ghost Hunts (investigations) are things like: If you can, at least two cameras, plenty of film, a tape recorder (audio), a pen and paper to write down events during an investigation. Maybe an EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) detector. EMF detectors measure the range of electro magnetic fields. It has been said that either ghosts create these fields or travel through them (there are many theories). If you are the superstitious type, you might want to bring some silver. It is a myth that silver keeps harmful spirits away. And guys, I want to make something clear here, on any investigation you go on, you do it with an open mind and complete respect. If your in a graveyard, be nice, don't bring food and leave wrappers all over the ground, or anything along those lines. Just use the rules of common courtesy.

"What do I do on a Hunt?"
When TheGSS goes on an investigation, we usually enter the cemetery from the oldest area, and then usually center our investigation around that area, BUT we do not neglect to investigate the newer area's though. It is always a good sign if you can physically feel the emotional energy emitting from the site, I have experienced this on most investigations I have attended and conducted. One good thing to do on a hunt, is leave the people who really don't believe. Now it's ok to bring the people who aren't really sure but are open minded, to be kind of a spectator or something along those lines, but if someone laughs at the idea of the existence of ghosts, chances are you won't get any good results. If you try audio recording, you might want to take it with you for a large portion of the investigation and leave it on a tombstone or something to go to another area of the site, then come back to pick it up, or you could take it with you the whole time. It's mostly personal preference. Good Luck!
"Balls of light"
Okay people, here it is. For all you people out there saying, "everyone gets those in pictures you take at night!" or "It's just light bouncing off of something!" Well, here is something to shut you up.
1. The "balls of light" would be circular, not oval. (If you don't know what that means, ask me and i'll send you a picture).
2. Light cannot hold anything in mid-air, as far as I (maybe some skeptic out there can tell me otherwise). Therefore, if the "balls of light" were really just light bouncing off of things, like the inside of the lense or something, then it would be physically impossible to get a picture that has "matter" floating around in "light".
3. If it was light, it would be flat, no matter what angle it bounces onto the film, it would come up flat, (flat meaning lack of dimension). So the pictures that TheGSS and most other ghost hunting groups on the web post would not be a product of light reflecting, because they contain the element of dimension.
4. Lets clear this issue real quick. Lense flare - At least half of the skeptics throwing this word around just like the sound of it, but couldn't pick out an example of lense flare if they had to. Lense flare is usually a product of taking pictures in the direction of the sun. The amount of DIRECT light causes the refraction off of inside lenses. Also lense flare most times will show up as similar shaped forms of light, some times in different colors. BUT it will show up in a STRAIGHT line. NOT skued in different areas of the picture.
5. If in fact it is light making the orbs on the film, then how can you explain the pictures that come back where the orbs are in motion? If it was light bouncing off of objects, the light would be stationary, not blurred in a certain direction. It would be a single point of light, without a curved line following the ball of light. It's like action shots in sports. You can sometimes see athletes blurred, because they were in motion when the picture was taken.
6. And mainly the most convincing piece of information I think, is the fact that it is not uncommon to find FACES (or in some cases SKULLS) in the balls of light. Now what can you say to that one? "Um, no! Light is a living creature and they have faces too!" Well whatever you say. But this is what I have to say. If this is not enough to convince you, and you still think that it is just light reflecting off of lenses, then I'm sorry but I can't help you anymore.

NEW ONES TAKEN ALMOST EVERY WEEK!!!
Just wanted to take this moment to address the fact that you will get better pictures at a site with a strong personal history. To me this seems very true. We mainly concentrate our energy toward McVay cemetery. McVay cemetery has a most interesting history. The site of the present day cemetery was the site of 3 churches. The first one was destroyed in the Civil War. The second church was burned to the ground after it was struck by lightning. Just wanted to point out that you will get better results at a place that has a history of bad events, like battlefields or murder sites. There is no information about the third church.
