Grobi was a very large, masculine, impressive dog, both in appearance, and when working. He was a true, working Schutzhund Boxer. He exhibited the explosive drives with strong nerves and the fighting drive that is unique to this breed. In protection work his grips were always full and hard. His temperament and personality were excellent, and he learned quickly and was easily trained. His father, Akim was a multiple German Boxer Bundessiegerpruefung competitor, and placed 3rd in 1991. Grobi's pedigree is one of strong, world class working lines. We waited for years to obtain a dog from these lines, and it was well worth the wait! Grobi was the first Boxer in America to earn the FH2 title.

Grobi was shown in the youth classes at the 1993 German Jahressieger conformation show and was given the highest youth rating of SG (very good). He participated in the '97 Bundessieger conformation show in Germany, and was given the highest rating of "V", excellent, under German Boxer Klub and ATIBOX President, Guenter Karg. In his ZTP, his conformation was described as follows: "Large, red fawn with white markings. Striking, correctly proportioned head, full deep stop, stop and chin with striking black uninterrupted mask. Powerful neck, somewhat throaty. Compact, substantial build with straight firm back! (Exclamation point placed there by the judge). Front and hind quarters have good angulation. Powerful and smooth movement."
