Cookies 2002

Girl Scouts have been selling cookies since  the 1930's.The original cookies were home baked. We have included a link to the Original Home Baked Girl Scout Cookie recipe for those interested. Also, in the past our Council has hosted a "Cookie Dessert Contest" with local chefs and those recipes are also included.

At our recent cookie training, one of the questions asked of me as a trainer was, "How about singing a song at a booth sale?" Well, as a matter of fact, several "Cookie" songs were posted on the WAGGGS-L not long ago. I told the women I would post these songs on my site. In the meantime, I have found out that there is already a site with them listed. Alamitos-Marina Service Unit page of the Greater Long Beach Girl Scout Council has a nice page for cookies. Also, if you don't know the tunes, Scotty does sing over the phone - give her a call!
