Welcome to the Greensboro NC Mountain Biking Page. In all of my surfing I have not found reference to the trails in Greensboro (Sorry Chris & Don). Please use the attached map as a reference to the starting points and general location of connectors only.
(1) Bald Eagle Trail. This trail is just off 220/Battleground just north Higgins Lake. Park just past the Higgins Lake Marina. The trail is about 1.5 miles of easy riding, then 1.5 miles of moderate riding. The second half of the ride tends to be a little muddy, but not bad. Unfortunately this is just an out and back for a fast 6 miles.
(2) Owls Roost Trail. Start at the parking lot at the entrance to Bur-Mil park a few miles up Battleground/220 from Country Park. There are more trails available than I have indicated, but the "Owls Roost" is probably the best originating from this location. Plenty of roots, logs, and a good moderate ride. About a 7-12 mile trail/loop depending on how you ride it.
(3) Jaycee/Country Park can be found off of 220/Battleground Ave. Simply go north from downtown and turn right at the Lowes. The next left turn will take you into the park entrance. There are multiple trail entrances and exits. Lots of crisscrossing trails of a easy to moderate difficulty. This is an excellent choice for safe(?) rainy day riding. Good place for begginners and kids also!!
