English ancestors immigrated to Crapaud and Freetown, Prince Edward Island,
Canada in the early 1800's. They were, for the most part, farmers

Issac Trowsdale came from the Bilsdale area of North Riding Yorkshire England. His father was probably Joseph Trowsdale (although it could have been Issac Trowsdale of Thorn hill - probably a relative of Joseph's)* Garbutt (NR, Yorkshire, England)Issac Trowsdale immigrated to Crapaud, PEI, Canada around 1817. He married Hannah Maxfield who was living in Bedeque, PEI in 1828. They had Stephen Trowsdale born in PEI in 1829.

Joseph Trowsdale immigrated from Yorkshire, England in 1816 on the valiant. He came with his wife and family.

Their daughter Hannah Maxfield married Issac Trowsdale in Crapaud, PEI, Canada in 1828. Hannah and Issac had a son Stephen in 1829. She died some time after that and before 1831, when her husband married Mary McDonald.
