You don't have to be on a spiritual path to believe in Fairies, you just need to have a heart that can love... to have just once in your life wished upon a star.
Many poor souls spend their time wandering in a listless, half-aware state, seaching for ways to return to Faerie where they may drink of the Faerie wine and feel the ecstacy of the Dance once more.
The Fairies
There are fairies in my garden
my grandad told me so
he said if I was really quiet
I'd see them come and go.
Well I've sat in my garden
for hours and hours I've sat
and I've never seen a fairy
I've just seen next doors cat.
But I know the fairies live there
cos my grandad told me so
so they must live down my garden
they do, I know, I know.
So I'm going down the garden
after tea tonight
and will I see those fairies?
well you never know, I might.

Perhaps the one experience that is common to all Fairies is the love of dancing. The most common form the dance takes in within a ring or circle. It is the dancing of the Fairies which leads to rings of toadstools and dark rings of grass.
If a human steps withing the Faerie Round he is compelled to dance with them for as long as the dance lasts. As with any journey into the Land of Faerie, he may not return for many years and find his children grown and his friends unable to recognize him.

Dance in the Circle
Out in the woods is a band of some faeries
go singing and dancing at night.
They're laughing and drinking,

The Child and the Faeries
The woods are full of faeries!
The trees are all alive;
The river overflows with them,
See how they dip and dive!
What funny little fellows!

Fairyland
A fairy's house stands in a wood,
Midst fairy trees and flowers,

Fairies are the magic in the heart of a child with a smiling face... They are here among us leaving trails of magic for us to trace... The laughter of a baby and the wisdom of the old.

Fairies sing and dance so happily... Taking joy in life, like it should be. They move with grace dancing between the trees.
Little Wings
Little wings,
I sence the beauty,

Fairies represent the childlikeness that is contained within the heart and soul of each of us. They represent the mystic, the magic, play and fun. They tell us that we don't need to grow up, we just need to grow.
Wishes
O give me the ears of a fairy
