A mother told her young son to go to bed and be sure to say his prayers
and ask God to make him a good boy. The boy's father, passing by the
bedroom, overheard his son praying: "And make me a good boy if You can; and if You can't, don't worry about it,
'cause I'm having fun the way I am.
A little boy went to dine with his parents at the home of an elderly gentleman. After watching the old man bow his head and speak in a soft voice, the boy asked his mother: "What did Mr. Bryan say to his plate?"
A Sunday School teacher asked her class, "Does anyone here
know what we mean by sins of omission?"
A small girl replied: "Aren't those the sins we should have committed,
but didn't?"
A small boy stunned his parents when he began to empty his pockets of nickels, dimes and quarters. Finally his mother said, "Where did you get all that
money.? "At Sunday school," the boy replied nonchalantly. "They have bowls of it."

One Friday morning, a teacher came up with a novel way to motivate her
class. She told them that she would read a quote and the first student to
correctly identify who said it would receive the rest of the day off.
She started with "This was England's finest hour." Little Suzy instantly
jumped up and said, " Winston Churchill."
"Congratulations said the teacher you may go home."
The teacher then said, "Ask not what your country can do for you."
Before she could finish this quote, another young lady belts out, "John
F. Kennedy".
"Very good" says the teacher, "you may go."
Irritated that he has missed two golden opportunities, Little Johnny
said, "I wish those girls would just shut up."
Upon overhearing this comment, the outraged teacher demanded to know who
said it. Johnny instantly rose to his feet and said, "Bill Clinton. I'll
see you Monday."

AOL TIPS
Here is a great tip for those who are worried that their screen names will be accessed by Hackers.
When the AOL prompt asks you to type in your screen name when you want to sign on, type in anything, for example..fow8rjh or lkjf3478. AOL will then start to sign you on, but then you will get another prompt telling you "invalid password..please re enter." NOW type in your real password. Here's the trick: Hacking programs read the FIRST password you entered, not the second one. Your account will never be broken into using this simple, but highly effective trick !!

Tiny handprints grow to be
A person that is quite unique
A wonderful mix of so many things

The legend of the raindrop
Has a lesson for us all
As it trembled in the the Heavens
Questioning if it should fall
For the glistening raindrop argued
By the genie of the sky
I am beautiful and lovely
As a sparkle here on high
And hanging here I will become
Part of the rainbow's hue
And I'll shimmer like a diamond
For all the world to view
But the genie told the raindrop
"Why do you hesitate to go?"
For you will be more beautiful
If you fall to earth below
For you will sink in the soil
And be at lost awhile from sight
But when you reappear on earth
You will be looked upon with delight
For you will be the raindrop
That quenched the thirsty ground
And helped the lovely flowers

Raspberry-Poppyseed Dressing
Makes about 1 Cup
Ingredients
1 Tbs. Red Onion, Finely Chopped
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 tsp. Dry Mustard
1 tsp. Salt
1/3 cup Raspberry Vinegar (Recipe Follows)
1 cup Salad Oil
1 1/2 tsp. Poppy Seeds
Combine onion, sugar, mustard, salt, and raspberry vinegar in a shaker
for mixing, or combine in blender for about 15 seconds.
Slowly add salad oil and poppy seeds and shake or blend for another 15
seconds. Store dressing in a clean glass jar and refrigerate when not
in use. Shake well before using again.

my Online Newsletter!
Let me know what you think of my new format. For those of you reading
this for the first time, let me share with you that I sent out four previous
issues (via email) prior to this first issue online. It's much easier to send
sMiLeS from KaThY this way and it should be easier for you to share with
your friends. To share sMiLeS from KaThY just send the hyperlink to this
web page.
I had been thinking of putting sMiLeS from KaThY on a web site and then
one day this past week, I opened my mailbox and it looked like Christmas.
I had all kinds of gifts (mail) from a very special online Angel
(WavyBec) Beckie. Beckie made the angel set of graphics that I am using
on this page. She also made me other sets to use ... so each time I create a
new issue of sMiLeS from KaThY I can use a different set of art work
(background, banner and buttons.)
THANK YOU Beckie from the bottom of my heart for all the gifts you made
for me. You are not only a sweet person, you are also very talented! You
are a very dear friend! God Bless You! You have really touched my heart!
