............. I'm really going to miss you Another World. My best friend and i used to talk on the phone during the episodes of Days and Another World discussing the plots and the what would happen to the characters. Now there's not much to talk about during that hour of two o'clock. I really hope they find a way to bring he soap back. It had the best story lines, I'm surprised the ratings weren't higher. I tried to watch Jake, Vicki,, Cass and Lila on As the world turns (they make all the other characters look bad), but it wasn't the same. There story lines really suck I couldn't even get into it. Another World I wish you all the best in luck. jennlr@hotmail.com

............. I was employed as the theatrical stage carpenter on Another World from 1970 to 1978. I have had a lot of good memories during that time. I want to wish the best of luck to the cast and crew that I had worked with at that time,
some of whom were still with Another World. Michael Fitzpatrick

............. I am a "young viewer" and have only been watching for 5 years, but they were the most enjoyable 5 years when i was watching AW. I always felt the acting was excellent and the storylines were much more believable than other soaps. I will not be watchin Passions or any other soap. Some how the reality has still not set in, and I feel foolish to still hope there is a chance. Another World will always remain a wonderful memory of my life and will remain in my heart forever. They were my friends and family, they will be missed. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE....ANOTHER WORLD. Farewell, the beloved cast and crew of my favorite show! I love you all!! ryeit12@AOl.com

............. I just wish someone would take Another World on. Do the people not understand that this show is a show that has been on in living room across America for so long that it's like losing your best friend, your salvation!!!! I have watched this show since I was 16 years old now I'm 40. The days that I worked I recorded it. I never missed an episode. When I had my children, I had my husband record it. I scheduled my daily routine around this very important show. Don't they know there will never be another show that can come in one inch of replacement of Another World. It was important as the first cup of morning coffee. My days are not the same without it and I think we all need to come together to get this show back on where it belongs. Sincerely, Sheila Javon Staggs (SSmith9543@aol.com)

............. I am so angry with NBC for canceling Another World!!! I was a devoted NBC soap fan for 15 years and how does NBC repay me for my loyalty? By canceling yet another one of my soaps. Why? So they can get younger viewers. Obviously, I'm not good enough for them!!! First it was Santa Barbara... after they got me hooked and I watched the show for nine years they canceled it on me. I did OK because I had Days & AW to keep me going, but now they've done it again!!! After 15 years of watching AW, the characters were like family to me and I can't forgive NBC for betraying me this way!!! If they expect me to watch their new soap Passions, they're crazy!!! Why would anyone want to watch their new show? So they can cancel it on us in a few years? No thanks NBC, I don't trust you anymore and you're not good enough for me!!! I have followed a few AW characters to ATWT and this soap has what it takes to go straight to the top! I hope other AW fans will help me to keep AW characters alive and take ATWT way above any NBC soap!!! Please forward this message to whom it may concern!!! gweed@tir.com (Gweed)

............. I watched the show from the first day. I miss it very much and will not watch Passions. Therefore, NBC has lost another hour of my viewing time. I guess I'm too old for them anyway. Thank you cast for a great 35 years. Especially Stephen Schnetzner.

............. I work in a dental office we all watched another world and were so glad when it was moved to twelve . Most of our patients watched the show also,I have not talked to anyone that does not miss that show. We live in crazy times and it was so nice to to see some nice normal events in peoples lives. We used to watch Days of our lives, but that is the weirdest show any more, Who cares about Marlena and John same old stuff year after year they have wrecked that show and Sunset beach is a joke, I and many many people don't understand you decision, Who are you trying to apeal to the freaks, Bring back Another World, We are changing and trying to watch outher soaps on diffrent channels, You blew it channel 4, Those people on another world became part of us, there problems got solved, They fell in love and had families, and normal problems, We really miss Another World. SDorr49803@aol.com

............. The same misguided souls who believe that we want to watch TENNIS in the afternoon, believe that we will watch-not only the mediocre Sunset Beach-but another new soap called Passions!! Why? The characters on Another World have been our friends for years. They are people that we can admire and identify with. Actually NBC has done me a huge favor. I have erased Sunset Beach and Passions from my vcr setting, and now have 2 hours every afternoon to read. Arletta Giese (taeryan@mhtc.net)

............. I didn't know that AW was going to be cancelled. I thought they were going to show both AW and Passins. I didn't like Passions I wish they could bring AW back because it has made me think alot about life and about second chances. Well, in conclusion, I really miss AW and I'm hoping that in the near future it will come back because I don't think Passions is going to be a big hit. Yours truly, Betty
P.S. I thank you for leaving us a memory of AW

............. I was disgusted to discover after returning from a vacation in Europe that AW had been cancelled. What the hell is wrong with NBC? I have been watching AW and Days for 20 years and if they had to choose a soap to cancel, my bet would be days. The acting is bad and the storylines are so stupid. I find myself taping the shows so that I can fast forward through the trash to just get the idea of the story. I will now follow Cass, Lila, Viki and Jake to their new show. It's your loss NBC. layne@pe.net

............. I have watched Another World since I was a little girl with my mother, that was 24 years ago. I have always taped the show while I was at work, and I would rush home to watch the soap. I watch 2 other soaps besides Another World, but Another World was the one I always watched first. Another World to me was not just another daytime soap. I loved this soap the most because it was not all about sex. This soaps was about family that always sticks together through thick and thin. I always liked to watch Cameron and Amanda. I would like to tell Another World that the last episode was great, how Rachel walked through the house and showed the pictures of the family. NBC, I will never ever watch the new soap Passions. Just the advertisements make me sick. Erin

............. I started watching Another World when Alice gave Steve a divorce so that he could marry Rachel who had given birth to his son Steven. It was a wonderful soap opera. I am so sad to see it end. It had so many wonderful characters and such fine actors. I don't think Passions can ever compare to Another World. TLewis8527@aol.com

............. I was browsing the internet for some kind of explanation for taking Another World off the air. I have found many websites but there is still no logical explanation that I can find. That only tells me one thing. There is none. I
can't imagine what would make someone make a decision like that. Another World was one of the longest running and best soap operas on the air. I tried to watch The Bold and
The Beautiful and As The World Turns but I always went back to Days and Another World. There are a lot of people that are heartbroken over this move. Surely that should tell NBC that this is not the smartest thing they should do. Dar1Dane2@aol.com

............. Why? Why was it canceled? I don't like the new show in it's place either. Watched it with on open mind. It's not too good. You lost me. I loved Another World, even better than Days most of the time. So, why...why was it canceled? cherturner@ctwok.com

............. At least I got to make it clear to NBC how unhappy I was with their "replacement" show Passions. Tedious as it was to go threw the survey at http://nbc.com/passions I did so just so they wouldn't forget we are still out here wondering what drove them to make such a stupid mistake. Especially replacing it with such trash crap, talk about no original concept! Sheeesh! Well when Passions goes belly up they'll have no one to blame but themselves! victory222@cyberus.ca

............. Hello to all of you A.W. fans today is July 9th. I don't know about the rest of you but I miss watching our AW family. Maybe if we continue to sound off, maybe some other network will listen and pick our show up.With any luck at all anyway.I've tried to watch Jake and Vicki and Cass and Lila but it just is not the same. They belong together on the same screen with the rest of the Another World family. Thanks to anyone who can help us to achieve our goal and get AW back on the air. koch22764@earthlink.net

............. OH, I like As the World Turns very much. AND I THINK THE WAY THEY BROUGHT JAKE & VICKY ON WAS good writing. I know you all think Well As the World Turns WAS ON THE SAME TIME AS "ANOTHER WORLD", but I'M a PRO at watching two shows at the same time. I MEAN I DO IT IN PRIMETIME Also. I'm so busy that I have to watch two things in the same hour so I can get everything else done when that hour is over. NO I THINK THEY WILL KEEP VICKY AND JAKE. BUT I sure wish they'd GET RID OF Lila, Cass is cool BUT LILA is not, AND NEVER WILL BE RIGHT for him. YOU JUST CAN't Replace FRANKIE with anyone, SHE WAS THE BEST, FAVORITE CHARACTER OF ALL TIME. AND I MISS HER TREMENDOUSLY. Anyway, Cass can stay too, BUT let Lila still want Matt and send her back to a Non-existent town of Bay City. ATWT is not boring at all, Lilly and Holden Have always been my favorites on that show AND NOW JAKE AND VICKY WILL BE IN THERE FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE. I'M A WRITER, IF I had zillions of dollars I'd write and produce a show called OUT OF THIS WORLD, bring back Frankie and Ryan in spirit form, SOMEHOW TO INTERACT with all the living people who are now Homeless in Bay City. OH AND BY THE WAY, THE "AW" COULD HAVE BEEN 400% better. I mean, P-l-ea-s-e, the gorilla story was just TOO, TOO STUPID. FOOTAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOWN OF MAC CORY, in memory form. COME ON people ~~ Please Give As the World Turns a try... THEY WERE GREAT TO EVEN THINK OF THIS TIE IN. Sandra

............. I grew up watching AW for twenty years and even though I may have missed a week or two here and there it was the first thing programmed into my VCR when I bought one, just for my soap AW. And now what am I going to watch without the drama and laughter that couldn't be matched by all of the others of daytime doaps. Anna (greekann@aol.com)

............. I hate the idea that a soap opera that I have been watching for twenty years is now off the air. I didn't even see the last show!!! Why did this happen? It was such a popular show.I am confused on this one, NBC!!!! Leigh Ann Gray (lagray@cafes.net)

............. I just returned from vacation and watched the final week of Another World which I had taped in my absence. It doesn't matter that it was a week after the fact, the fact is it's still gone. I'm like many others who watched only two soaps, Another World and Days. What do I do now? I really looked forward to my time spent in Bay City Monday through Friday. I'm not the least bit interested in replacing it with another show. Come on NBC, give us back our family.debra@regiona.org (Debra Brokenshire)

............. I can't believe that the network NBC canceled Another World! I have been watching NBC's soaps like Days and Another world since 1982. I haven't watched Days in awhile because it was getting too far out there and not believable anymore. I work day times and have to record my favorite show Another World. I loved watching AW in the evenings as I relaxed and saw people I have loved to see for years. I miss this show tremendously and hope very very very very much that the producers will bring it back to those of us that love Another World. I will not watch NBC in the day time anymore. Besides the new show passion is not worth watching because its boring... not believable...and it can't touch Another Worlds excellent cast members. This Another World fan hopes and prays that the Network wakes up and listens to AW fans and puts it back on. Theresia (jlrg07b@prodigy.com)

............. i really miss watching AW at 2:00 o'clock, i have been watching AW for as long as i can remember, please bring them back. shepard@webpoint.net

............. Hi. I just want to say that many young people will miss AW too. I am 18 and have been watching it devotedly for 2 years. I am the third generation in my family to watch AW. I think it is (was) the best thing of television. I'm not into those trashy soaps like Sunset Beach and the dreded Passions. I also think Days is getting way out of hand (VERY unrealistic) I mean, my God. Just kill Stefano and get it over with! Anyway, I think NBC is making a HUGE mistake by canceling Another World. I know I will never watch a different soap. rdads@lisco.net (Deb)

............. I'm from Curacao an island in the Caribbean. I have been watching AW I think for my whole life. In my family I'm the fourth generation watching AW. I'm deeply sorry I won't be able to be with my tv family now every day. I will miss every and each one of the AW family. They were a part of our family too. Shulayca-Eunice Paesch (surayny@interneeds.net)

............. Its almost 2 weeks since the last episode and I am finding it harder than ever to accept that we will never see "our people" in Bay City again. I like knowing that there are so many others out there that will never forget! -Cher

............. It is so ncie to see more about Another World. I loved the last show, but if it had been me writing the last show I would have had Kathleen come back. She and Cass would have got married. marshar@salisbury.net

............. Like all of the other devoted fans, I am completely devasted over the loss of my favorite soap, AW! The actors on this show have been remarkable and I truly admire how they continued to give 100% or more toward their performances during the last days. I will especially miss the humorous performances of many of the characters (Cindy/Grant, Cass/Lila, Cass/Felicia Chris/Jake etc. etc.)which you just don't see on other soaps! Even during the most stressful days of my busy life, AW has given me a wonderful hour to escape to Bay City! It will be deeply missed!!!! Fine@freewwweb.com

............. Where's Another World? I have been trying to figure out where aw was. In my hectic life, I somehow missed the fact that it was taken off the air. I kept thinking it was off due to the Wim. tennis programming. I noticed at the grocery today, that there were no mention of aw in the tabloids at the checkout. So, when I came home, I decided to use the internet to find out --- what a surprise. I am really sad. I haven't clicked with Sunset Beach. I caught a little of Passions yesterday, and I wasn't impressed. I want Another World back. Sad, sad, sad. tdunna@mindspring.com (Dunna)

............. I really enjoyed watching aw. It was one of my best soaps. If I could not watch it i would tape it then watch it that night. I will miss it. I hope that they will being it back. And to everyone one that played in it I wish them luck. We will miss you all very much. unhappy21@hotmail.com

............. Well here it is July 6th. and no word of another network picking up Another World.Or have I missed it?I would like the Another World family to know that there is a void in my life now that they do not air daily for all of us fans to view. You are truly missed.I'm so outraged that NBC would remove A.W.to air Passions not to mention advertise the damn thing will we were watching the last episodes. How dare they.Someone needs to get their priorities straight. We the viewers have lost our second family that we have shared our daily lives with for 35 years.Which is a lose that cannot be replaced. I just hope that NBC and Proctor & Gamble are feeling the lose in the wallet the way we feel the lose in our hearts.Again Thanks Another World for 35 great years.Look forward to you being back on the air soon. Thanks for all the laughter and the tears.Connie Lemus@Earthlink.net

............. I will never forget the scene in which Felicia tries desperately to stall Lila and Matt's wedding by reciting pieces of her work.(Cass was phenominal!) I have never laughed so hard in my life! I'll also never forget when Jake and Vicky were devestated by Kirkland's being hit by Paulina's car. The acting amongst these talented people will never be replaced by some younger actors in a show geared towards kids! I'm 26, and have faithfully watched the show for years, and never known any teenagers I've met to buy the diapers and home cleaning products P&G advertises. The last time I checked...these kids were borrowing money from Mom and Dad to grab a value meal! Perhaps P&G should start marketing themselves as makers of value meal toys....they would reach their target audience! Shame on you P&G...what a disgrace! marrs4@gsinet.net

............. I decided to watch "Passions" to see just how bad it was going to be. I was not dissapointed!!! Somehow, NBC has managed to do the
impossible, they have put together a Soap-opera that is worse than "Sunset Beach"!!! Here's my take on Passions: BORING, BORING, BORING, BORING,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes of it. The joke is on NBC!!!!!!!!!!! helmin@klink.net

............. I can't believe that NBC can be so stupid, heartless and unfeeling as to take away this great soap. When I heard the news that it was being canceled, felt like I had been stabbed in the heart. Its like loosing a best friend. The families on AW were my families. The characters my friends. I have been watching since about 1974, when Rachel first met Mac Cory. Rachel has grown a lot since those days from a conniving girl to the matriarch of a prominent family. I've watched her grown and mature and change. There have been a lot of similarities in our lives. She is like my sister. AW was a classy show with classy actors. I've tried watching other soaps, but I can't get interested in the characters or or the story lines. I find none of the quality of AW. Good-bye good friends on AW you will really be missed. Bernie Donahue (DBD201@AOL.com)

............. As the second generation of three that have been watching Another World, I was totally disgusted with the cancellation of Another World. I'm 50 years old and have been watching Another World since I was a kid. I called my Mother after the last show aired, and she started to cry when she saw the clip of Mac at the end. I also felt extremely bad knowing that was the end. I watched Passions just to get a laugh at that I did. It was geared towards teenagers, which Another World was not. Another World had a balance for both the young and old. I will not watch Passions. Right now NBC has a survey which you can fill out to tell them what you think of Passions. I've already told them what I think of Passions. Check it out at http://www.nbc.com (click on Passions to bring the survey up) pd@northnet

............. I'm not sure what to say...still in shock and somewhat denial that NBC could be so blatently ignorant to so many loyal fans of Another World. I've been watching for about 15 years...my mother has been watching for 28 years and both of my grandmothers watched from day one. I just took a glance at this new show, Passions, that is to replace Another World. My God, what a joke. The acting is pitiful and the storyline referred to Princess Diana as if the woman on the show was friends with her in real life, before she died. That is sick and appalling to use her death as part of a fictional storyline in such a low-brow, "smutty" soap opera....truly tacky. I'm shaking right now....I'm still so bitter. I know that I speak for hundreds of others....plus many of my family members and friends. Another World had the finest cast, with the most intelligent storylines. I'm still hoping something can be done to bring back the BEST, yet most underappreciated soap around. NBC....You've made a BIG mistake! umdowdcd@mb.sympatico.ca

............. After 19 years, I'm in deep withdrawal. I want "Another World" back. I will not watch "Passions." I am trying to watch ATWT to see Jake, Lila, Cass, and Vicky, but it's tough figuring out who's who and doing what. We may not get AW back, but I'd love to see "Passions" fall flat on its face. scalesp@c2i2.com

............. AW is one soap I will truly miss. I have been watching AW since before Mac died. When I was working I would tape it. Was on vacation last week they aired so I put it on to tape but did not tape cause power went out and messed up VCR. I was lucky my neighbor had taped the shows so I could see the last week. It was very sad. Doubt if I will watch ATWT to watch Jake,Vicki,Lila and Cass as I would rather see AW come back. There are a couple other soaps they need to take off the air along with Passions (before it starts) and sunset beach. AW will be deeply missed here. Will not watch NBC shows and P&G and NBC made the biggest mistake of their lives. CSO (Cordelly78@aol.com)

............. For over 20 years I have watched AW. There was a short period of time when I didn't watch it and only watched Y&R and B&B, but then got started watching Days of Our Lives and since AW was on before started watching it again. It soon became my favorite of them all. I first became hooked on the story lines with Mac and Rachel, and never stopped watching. I soon stopped watching Y&R altogether because the story lines moved so slowly. I truly will miss AW. I tried watching ATWT, to see Eplin and Buchanan, but it isn't the same. AW was a far superior show. I only hope it can return in some form soon. mjknet@aol.com

............. I just can't believe that Another World was cancelled. I believe they have made a huge mistake. The fans will miss a truly great show. Is there any network brave enough and smart enough to bring back Another World...I sure hope so........Debbie (silhouette@sprint.ca)

.............The Loss of Another World: I have watched Another World for the past eighteen years and I feel like a hugh piece of my heart has been pulled out. I tried to watch Vicky and Jake on As the world turns but I find the show very boring and it seems they will only be on the show for a short period and I do not want to be disappointed when they leave.I have been watching Linda Dano but they need to make her character more interesting. Reg Dennis @ noreg@cyberus.ca

............. i've watched AW since it started 35 yrs ago i am 42 and never missed a day of AW. i wish that the show that is replacing AW fails and that PG will figure out what they did wrong and bring back our favorite show. what upset me about the ending is that they forgot pictures of Aunt Liz and Nancy. hopefully we will see our favorite stars again soon. lblh@hotmail.com

............. I was devastated to hear NBC was cancelling my
favorite soap opera ANOTHER WORLD. I started watching it in 1969 and have been a faithful follower ever since. The show has been a big part of my life. With deep regret I have no choice but to say good bye. Thanks for all the wonderful times. I've enjoyed watching another world immensely. And will miss all my friends on ANOTHER WORLD. So long and good luck in your future endeavours. beeks_44@hotmail.com

............. I was unaware of the real reasoning for cancelling Another World, and now that I know I will no longer watch NBC daytiime. I am very upset that they cancelled a show that I grew up watching with my mom. I feel as though I lost a best friend, and not just some old soap opera. I will miss the show and so will my mom as well. Thank you Another World for the memories, the laughs, and the tears. J Claypool

............. I can't believe that NBC has the gall to think that they can take something like Another World that has been an important part of a lot of people's lives for many many years and try to replace it with something else.I have watched Days and Another World for twenty plus years and since the last show aired Friday 25 I refuse to watch any soap at all. I also hope that some other network will pick it up .I miss Another World already and its only been gone 3 days. Thanks to everyone at Another World for letting me be part of your world for 1 hour a day.You are truely missed. I hope to see you soon on another network. rick@encode.com

............. BAD NETWORK JUDGMENT: I have viewed Another World for 27 years and used to watch DAYS. It was the only soap which had a real chance of grabbing the audience's attention. Plot, family situations and the effective use of human trials by the writers plus the excellant job of the crew have made this show America's Number One Daytime Soap (as seen from a viewer's standpoint}. I had hoped that NBC would have the grace, for the fans' sake, to sell the show to another network. But it would appear that greed has won out. They are only interested in their pocketbook and could care less what viewers wish. Since the viewers are the pocketbook which the networks depend upon, it would behoove the viewers to send a message to NBC, and stop watching anything they have to offer til the effect is very felt. NBC has become very inept of very late at performing its duties and I strongly feel that the truth will cost them in the long run. Joanie Dingess, Angry Customer (Email: bdingess@stratos.net)

............. I am very sad to see this great show go off the air. I can't believe the networks kept Sunset Beach over Another World. I will NOT be watching the new show, Passions, and hope it fails miserably. I'd like to commend the writers for a wonderful job in wrapping up story lines and giving happy endings.I wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors. Dale Hooper

............. I can't believe it I was just channel surfing and there were Jake and Vicky. Really blew my mind. I checked the channel and thought CBS was smart enough to buy out AW. I rushed to the computer to find out that Jake and Vicky and Cass and Lila will now be on ASWT. Well now I will find out how Another World Turns!!!! I have been watching AW for over 25 years and was shocked that NBC would cancel this soap and let Sunset Beach survive, and to replace it with another trashy soap (Passions?, Really come on!). So GOOD BYE nbc and HELLO CBS! Maybe all the other family members will make the move too! Come on Paulina and Joe, Matt and everyone else. Maybe nbc doesn't want you your loyal fans do! Got the hint CBS! Janey@hotbot.com

............. Just discovered this page today, and like the others, share in the pain of losing such an awesome soap. Still can't believe AW is gone. NBC has it all wrong if they want to attract younger viewers with a younger soap, since my friends and I belong to this targeted age group and we hate days and sunset! the storylines are highly boring and the whole soap a waste of time. AW was real, honest and even without help from the execs, it quietly went about telling great stories. If only there had been support from the top, AW would definitely been noticed in more markets and cleaned up in the awards, as it is the Best Soap. Here's hoping that there is still something we can do-- let's get AW on another network-- heard ABC is coming out with a soap channel! come on guys, let's give it a try! rchahal@sfu.ca

............. So sad that NBC forgot all of their older faithful viewers. I will miss AW and all the good people on the show. I will NOT watch Sunset Beach or Passions. Those are for the young people. Remember P&G that it is us parents that spend the money. You have lost me NBC, I will Follow Jake and the rest to their new home. It seems that Days is heading in the same direction. If you care at all get some new writers that will keep us interested. Enough is enough. judilou40@aol.com
