Types of Trees at the Spillman's Christmas Trees Farm
Big tall trees, short skinny trees and even some we call Charlie Brown Christmas trees. We will have cut NC grown Fraser Fir and cut white pine available this year. The table top Christmas trees will be Alberta Spruce, and various other trees that could be planted after Christmas.
It Takes 12-15 years to grow a 6-7 foot Fraser Fir from seed, to lineout, to transplant in the field.
We fertilize our trees twice a year.
We check on a regular basis for any insect problems.
Each tree is trimmed once a year with a long blade shearing knife.
Growing our superb Fraser Fir is a labor intensive task.
At harvest time, Fletcher gets a crew together to cut bale and deliver fresh cut trees to our Spillman Christmas Tree lot located at 10054 Spillman Drive, Trinity, NC.
Look at our beautiful trees and you will see why we take pride in our business!
