"Bullet"

Our first homebred champion from our first litter. Born a singleton and hampered with a very novice owner, Bullet was first and foremost a cherished pet and top notch hunting companion. Finished with 4 majors, several BOBs, and earning his CD in three straight trials with a novice handler, Bullet had a brief career as a special, earning multiple BOBs.
As a working dog, he remains unparallelled in our home. He never quit on a bird, and was known locally as the best pick up dog around, being called upon to find downed ducks as much as 24 hours after they were shot in our tough Massachusetts stick ponds. Bullet was even known to dive for submerged ducks, coming up with them after an underwater search. Bullet died tragically young of cancer, and was sadly never used at stud, but his legacy lives on in the get of his full sisters Brier, Brass and Tia.
Its been years since he died, and there is not a day that goes by that we don't think of him. A portrait of him hangs in in our family room, still adorned by his show collar that he competed with his whole life. He will always be remembered fondly and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
