#521 Eros, 1962. This was another great find, and is a necessary addition to any Marilyn collection. Along with the Life covers, this book should be at the core of everyone's Marilyn treasure trove. For those unfamiliar , this was part of a series of books celebrating the 'erotic' arts. Pretty risque for 1962. This edition, published only 6 weeks after she died, contains 20 pages (as well as front and back and inside covers) of shots by Bert Stern from 'The Last Sitting', including several Marilyn had scrawled thru due to her dissatisfaction with them. VF condition. $75.
#522 Mondo Marilyn, 1995 (out of print), edited by Peabody Ebersole. This is a collection of fiction and poetry written about Marilyn, some by famous authors and some not so famous. An interesting read. Paperback, mint cond. $14.00
#523 Marilyn Mon Amour- photos by Andres deDiennes. This is an oversize picture book of beautiful bw photos taken from the very start of Norma Jeane's career to her rise to fame as Marilyn Monroe. Not only does the camera love Marilyn, but it is obvious that Mr. deDiennes had the utmost admiration for his subject. VF. $20.00
#501 Modern Screen September 1954"Marilyn Talks About Joe and Babies" Article also discusses Marilyn's contract disputes with Zanuck. Great full-face cover shot with Marilyn dripping in diamonds. I have several copies of this issue, most of which are in VF condition. These are $42. But, I also have a couple that are in not as great shape. One is faded and has some spine wear. The other has a crease running through the whole issue, as if it were in the middle of a pile and the crease was packed in. These are $25.00
#504 Movieland November 1954"Meet The New Marilyn Monroe" talks about a more confident Marilyn. This has a really charming cover shot. Here, too, I have several copies. The ones in FN condition are $40. The others, with creasing or small tears, are $32.00
#505 Who's Who In Hollywood 1955This annual gives a blurb on just about anybody who was anybody in H'wood in 1955. Of course, our girl got the cover! VG. $40.00
#506 My Sister MarilynHardcover book. by Berneice Baker Miracle. 1994, 1st Edition. This is a memoir by Marilyn's half-sister, whom she did not know about until she was in her early teens. NM. $18.00
#507 MM Hologram SetThese are trading cards, more or less. This is the first series, released in 1992. The photos from which they created were originally taken by Harold LLoyd in 3-D. The set is still plastic wrapped, never having been removed from their box. The set includes 4 different images. M. $12.00
#510 Norma Jean: My Secet Life With Marilyn Monroeby Ted Jordan. 1989, First Edition. This is the story of the love affair and friendship between Marilyn and actor Ted Jordan, who later married stripper Lily St. Cyr. They supposedly met when Norma Jean was 17, and remained friends and lovers for years. FN. $16.00
#511 Norma Jean by Fred Lawrence Guiles, 1969. Definitely the definitive biography of Marilyn up to the time of its publication. Meticulously researched. Includes 16 pages of photos. $20.00
#513 Marilyn: The Last Take by Brown and Barham.1992, First Printing. This book examines the last 14 weeks of Marilyn's life, from the filming and her subsequent firing from "Something's Got To Give", to her dalliances with the Kennedy boys to the debunking of the suicide theory of her death. Includes 16 pages of photos from that period. Nice cover art on DJ. $15.00.
#514 Joe & Marilynby Roger Kahn. 1986, First Edition. A touching account of the everlasting love between Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio. Though their marriage lasted only 9 months, they remained lifelong soulmates and Joe was always Marilyn's greatest defender. This edition was purchased from a public library, so the DJ has been preserved in the library's plastic slipcase. But, the liner page (which had no printing on it), has been torn out . $16.00
#515 Young Marilyn: Becoming The Legendby James Haspiel, 1994 First American Edition. This is truly a beautiful book. It is a large format coffee table book, examining Marilyn's early career. Most of the pictures are exceptional, focusing on the late 1940's and early 1950's, when Marilyn was at her most natural innocent beauty. Written by her friend of 8 years. Excellent condition. $25.00.

I also have the following new additions that I have yet to scan. If you are interested, please let me know and I can send you a photo:

#530 The Birth of Marilyn by Jeannie Sakol. 1991, hardback, First Edition. This is a wonderful time capsule featuring the 'lost' photos by Joseph Jasgur, taken during a two week period of 1946. This is an intimate portrait of the young Norma Jean, just at the brink of her blossoming career. Taken around the same time as the photos by Andres de Diennes, Marilyn was already on the minds of several people that would later prove helpful. Also included in this book are the photos Mr Jasgur took of Marilyn for her bookings as part of the Blue Book Agency. Large format (10 x 12). The dust jacket shows a little wear around the edges, but otherwise in NM condition. $30.
#531 Bernard of Hollywood's Marilynwith text by Susan Bernard. 1993, hardback, First Edition. This is a large format coffe-table book featuring the photos of Bruno Bernard. The wonderful thing about it is that most of his photos were taken in the very early days of Marilyn's career (from about 1946 to 1953). We get to see a remarkable transition from the innocence of those early Norma Jean shots to the glamorous studio portraits of a well-groomed Marilyn. Large format (9 x 12). Printed on a very heavy stock paper. NM. $35.
#532 Marilyn Monroe: An Appreciationby Eve Arnold. 1987, hardback, First Edition. Preceded by a 50 page remembrance by the author/photographer of her time spent with Marilyn , this book is mostly a photo essay of their days together on the set of The Misfits. There are some beautiful pictures in this large format book (10 x 12). The only problem here is that it looks like the book was dropped on its corner, and the bottom corner at the spine is a little dented, though not horribly. NM. $30
#533 Marilyn Monroeby Norman Mailer. 1973, hardback. This is it. This is THE book to own. At the core of any Marilyn collections, there ought to be: the Life magazines, Eros #3, and this book. Written in 1973, and admittedly largely lifted from Guiles' wonderful bio, this was the first Marilyn book to present a spectacular retrospective of Marilyn photos by all of the prominent Marilyn photographers, including Bert Stern, Eve Arnold, Tom Kelly, Andres de Diennes, etc... Originally, the book was meant to just be a photo essay with short text from Norman Mailer, but he was so taken with the subject, that he ended up writing a 70,000 word manuscript. I think we all know how he feels. Also, on a personal note, seeing the photo on the cover of this book for the first time as a 16-year-old boy in 1980, I was forever smitten with Marilyn. FN. $ 55.
#534 Marilyn Monroeby Norman Mailer. 1988 by Galahad Books. Hardback. This is the identical book to #523, but is the 1988 reprint. It appears to have even used the same printing plates. Still every bit as gorgeous and glossy. This is a nice alternative if the original is a bit too pricey. VF. $35.
#537 Marilyn Monroe by Graham McCann. 1988, paperback. This one is a more intellectual, scholarly approach to Marilyn's life. More than a biography, it examines Marilyn from a cultural perspective, and says that she was 'created' out of the needs of the era in which she lived. The author is a sociologist at Cambridge, so you might expect that this is more than just another fluff piece. $18
#538 Marilyn Monroe: Her Life and Legend by Susan Doll, 1990, First Edition, hardback. This is certainly one of the LARGEST books on Marilyn that I have ever seen. It measures about 10" x 14", and is a hefty tome at about 5 pounds!!!. The text is standard issue bio stuff, but what sets this one apart, other than the size, is what is packed in here. There are over 450 photos, all in glossy print, and many from her earlier career. This is a stunning collection, and will take hours to go thru and truly absorb. VF. $65.
#541 Marilyn: Shades of Blonde, Edited by Carole Douglas. NEW RELEASE. paperback. 1998. This is a work of fiction. It is a collection of short stories that all revolve around Marilyn. The point of this book is that Marilyn is such a part of our cultural psyche, that her presence belongs in out fiction as well as our history. Stories deal with all aspects of Marilyn's life, from her days as Norma Jean to her days as H'wood's reigning sex goddess. Mint condition. $15.
#542 45rpm record: "I Wanna Be Loved By You" from Germany. This is a 7" record from Germany from 1989. On one side is the version of I Wanna...that we are all familiar with. The other side is the same song, but is slightlu re-mixed with a little peppier background. This is in MINT condition, and was brought back from a recent trip to the Czech Republic. So, copies of this record have NEVER seen shores of this country before, making it a rare collectible. $9.99

Welcome to my first and last, be all and end all Marilyn Monroe catalog. Listed are magazines, books, calendars, and many things for which there are no categories.
I have been an avid Marilyn Monroe collector for the past 15 years or so. My collection has come through the mail, flea markets, film conventions, and anywhere else I could get my hands on Marilyn memorabilia. For a variety of reasons, I have given up collecting, and I am now making my collection available to whomever would like a part of it.
If you have any questions about any item, you may call me or e-mail me at tbboy@aol.com, but I've tried to make the explanations as clear as possible.
I am generally home evenings after 7 p.m. (EST). You may also leave a message as to what items you would like held. If something you've requested is already sold, I will call you back
to let you know. Please, no collect calls.
Also, if you are interested in an item but would like to see it first, I can scan the image and send it to you as a jpg file. PLEASE only request a scan if you are seriously interested in purchasing the item. This is time consuming for me, and I don't have time to do this on a high volume basis. Also, please note that some items have links in the description which will take you directly to its photo.
