Izard County, Arkansas, Tax Records, 1829-1866, 178 pages, $22.00 (Stone was partly formed from Izard)

Arkansas residents must add 4.5% sales tax.

Desmond also has books on the several military units formed from that area and the 1850 census index and transcriptions for the whole state.

I did learn that Lizzie was in the Branscum family before she was married into the LEE family.

His Descendants

John Jefferson Hinesley arrived in Stone County around 1886. He lived the rest of his life there. Most of the 2nd generation in the book came
with him. The third, fourth, and fifth generations were mostly born in Stone County. Many of his descendents still live in Stone County. Some
of the earlier family names with Stone County connections, who might be his descendants are: HINESLEY, DRENNAN, ROSS, BERRY, LOWRANCE, CARROLL, RUSHING, GREEN, DEASON, THORNTON, HOLLAND, RHODEN, LAYTON, PITTS, LAMONS, BARBER, MINICK, LYDAY, and many others in later generations.
There are still a few copies of the book left. It is soft bound, 56 pages, and contains 7 generations of birth, marriage, and death information and a 3 page summary of John Jefferson Hinsley's ancestry. The cost of $10.00, covers only the cost of printing and mailing. Order from:
