ELIZABETH WING
DAUGHTER OF SAMUEL WING AND MARY DILLINGHAM
Elizabeth Wing (Samuel Wing, Daniel Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born November 7, 1684 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, married Solomon Hoxie in Sandwich on February 24, 1703/04. They were married "solemnized" before Stephen Skeffe Esqr, Justice of the Peace. Solomon was born August 19, 1679, the son of Lodowick Hoxie and Mary Presbury.
Although we do not know when Elizabeth Wing Hoxie died, we do know that Solomon's will was proved on November 9, 1762 in Sandwich. Solomon was a shoemaker and he resided in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts.
Elizabeth Wing and Solomon Hoxie had the following children:
1. Barnabas Hoxie, born December 14, 1704 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He died October 30, 1732 at 27 years of age. (That is all of the information I have on Barnabas...if anyone can add anything, please write me @ TONI
2. Meriah Hoxie, born April 19, 1707 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Meriah died in 1788 at the age of 81. Meriah never married.
3. Samuel Hoxie, born March 30, 1709 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Samuel died October 29, 1742 at the age of 33. (That is all of the information I have on Samuel...if anyone can add anything, please write me @ TONI
4. Elizabeth Hoxie, born April 16, 1712 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
5. John Hoxie, born February 6, 1714/15 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts...died young at Sandwich.
6. Peleg Hoxie, born September 1, 1717 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
7. Ann Hoxie, born about 1720 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. All I know about Ann is that she was married twice, the first marriage was to John Robinson before 1750 and the 2nd marriage was to Edward Dillingham Jr. on September 13, 1759. 8. Mary Hoxie, born November 20, 1722 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
9. Presbury Hoxie, born November 20, 1722 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Presbury died in the West Indies at the age of 31.
