JOSEPH WING
SON OF JASHUB WING AND ANNA HOXIE
Joseph Wing (Jashub Wing, Daniel Wing, Rev. John, Matthew), born May 3, 1706 at Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Joseph died December 12, 1753 at the age of 47. Joseph Wing married Deborah Clifton in May of 1725 at rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. According to family historians, once documentation is found for the marriage between Joseph and Deborah it will allow the descendants of Joseph Wing to become members of the Mayflower Society. Deborah Clifton was born about 1707 at Rochester, Massachusetts...parents unknown at this time. (My guess is that she was the daughter of Savory Clifton and his wife, Dorothy Burgess, who had three other daughters, Barsheba, Dorothy and Margaret who all married Wing men.
Joseph Wing and Deborah Clifton had the following children:
1. Anna Hoxie Wing, born February 28, 1726
2. Jabez Wing, born about 1728
3. Savory Wing, born October 24, 1729
4. Dorothy Wing, born May 1, 1731 at Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts.
5. Jashub Wing, born September 1, 1733 at Dartmouth, died December 12, 1753 at the age of 20.
6. Paul Wing, born February 22, 1735/36
7. Patience Wing, born July 6, 1740 at Dartmouth.
8. Samuel Wing, born about 1741
9. Josephus Wing, born July 16, 1742
