Well as I have finally gotten around to setting the backshop up. As you can see I am just getting started. I should have it up and running so you can see first hand what I do to get a wrecked or tired locomotive back on the mainline .So check back soon.

Here are pictures of the rebuilding of a Rivarossi 2-8-8-2 Y6b that was destroyed at the hands of the wrong type of repair shop. It took 1 year to restore this lady back to her former self and operate once again on the high iron. #2174 had damage to the following

Boiler damaged and separated from the cab .  Electric pickup on the underframe smashed. Pilot beam and metal  work broken and bent. Cylinder saddle damaged. Here are pictures of her repairs and her completion.
