Macintosh Recap (MacRecap)

The primary purpose of these web pages is to describe a program, named MacRecap, to score duplicate bridge games on the Macintosh.

A secondary purpose is to inform you about Mike Lawrence's software for the Macintosh. Please see paragraph at the end of this web page.

MacRecap will run on any Macintosh prior to Intel (see next paragraph). It is currently being used by one club on a single floppy Mac Plus and by others on Power PC machines. If you are using OS X, MacRecap must be run under the Classic Environment. For some unknown reason, MacRecap will not print with OS 10.3. An extra step is required to print with OS 10.4 but it only takes about 30 seconds.

NOTE: Apple does not put Classic on Macs with Intel processors. Thus if that is the Mac you will use, you should not buy MacRecap or these Mike Lawrence programs.

All of the common movements are available for use by MacRecap. There is, however, a companion program named Specify_A_Movement for creating any movement you desire.

To give you a feeling for what the program can do and how it works, following are links to the entire manual:

The cost is $49 which includes shipping and handling. To order or ask for additional information, write, call or e-mail to:

Mike Lawrence has created software to help people improve their bridge skills. That software was on the PC and I have now put five of those programs onto the Mac. For an explanation, click here.
