Appendix A: Descriptions Of Supplied Movements

File names describe each movement as much as practical. The following method is used:

  • The beginning number is the number of tables.
  • H is Howell movement and M is mitchell movement.
  • EWB and NSB are EW and NS bump movements. The 9 1/2 thru 16 1/2 table movements are provided free by the ACBL. I created the 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 table movements. Instructions for the bumping pair are in the Bump folder which is in the Mitchell folder. You should print the appropriate one to give to the bumping pair.
  • The next number is the number of boards in play.
  • RBS indicates Relay and Bye Stand.
  • Skip3, Skip4, etc. indicate a skip after the round number specified.
  • 7R, 8R, etc. indicate 7 or 8 rounds when not all possible rounds played.
  • Number at end is number of boards played when pairs don't play all boards.
