Welcome to my Melissa Etheridge information page. "The Ridge" is a weekly chatroom on America Online where people gather to chat about ME. Hopefully you will be able to join in the conversations!

I periodically send out a ME newsletter, giving updates on what she is doing. If you wish to join the list or send articles and such for distribution to the list, please email me with your request. For those who aren't aware already, there are many areas on America Online and on the Internet to access Melissa Etheridge information. I've tried to supply some information to assist you in locating ME related material. If you wish to add anything that I have missed, please feel free to email me with your suggestions.

There are some .wav files available on AOL. If you go to the software section and do a search on Melissa Etheridge you'll find a few files there.

Proud to announce the birth of Bailey Jean Cypher. Born February 10, 1997 at 1:35 AM, weighing in at 8lbs 10oz after 24 hours of labor. All are doing just fine.

However, there is a second child on the way now. Julie is, indeed, pregnant again and due in November!

The Chatrooms!

There are quite a few chatrooms for Melissa on America Online. Two are located in the Members Section of the People Connection on AOL. We hold one every Sunday at 9:00pm EST and it is called "The Ridge". There is also another members chat on Thursdays at 8:00pm EST. To get there go to the People Connection. They are located in the "Town Square". Just click on "Member Rooms" and then "Create Room" and type THE RIDGE (or you can scroll until you find the name). Remember this is a member room and NOT a private room. If you have any problems you can IM me and I'll help you find it.

There is also an IRC chat channel...#Etheridge. Assuming you have a program that supports IRC...you can communicate with other netheads about ME...the address is http://www.netusa.net/~drchuck/etheridge

There are two Internet Mailing Lists:

America Online Message Boards!

There are a few message boards on AOL. One is in the Music Message Center...keyword 'MMC'. It is located under "Rock/Pop"...Rock artists A-F...then scroll to "Melissa Etheridge". Melissa has posted to our message board twice. There is a second board in The Gay & Lesbian Community Forum, keyword 'GLCF ', under message boards, Arts & Media...then scroll until you find "Melissa Etheridge". VH-1 (keyword VH1) usually has message boards too, however,
they are temporary.

And remember, keyword 'MEL' will link you to some other Melissa Etheridge related topics.

The Online Appearances!

So far Melissa has made four appearances online. She appeared on America Online in December of 1993 and August of 1996 and also once in December of 1994 for a Z100 concert special. She was also on Compuserve in October of 1994. In July of 1995 she caused quite a stir by posting to our message board in the "MMC" and answering some questions of ours via email and IM's. She also made an impromptu appearance in "The Ridge".
