Strong military soldiers die for protecting state.

Fine arts, intellectual achievement, beauty and theater.

Lack of fine arts. Military theme stressed in culture. Culturally backward.

Freedom and use of reason. Individual important to society.

Serve state. Society more important than individual.

Education

Education focused on physical and mental skills.

Education was totally focused on military strategies and war.
