Abington Senior Community Center

The

Abington Senior Community Center, 1151 Winola Road, Clarks Summit, Pa., is open Monday thru Friday from
9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Anyone 60+ years of age is invited to join the membership and participate
in Center activities. Hot meals are served daily Monday through Friday at noon.
A 24-hour reservation notice is required
for the noon meal and can be made by calling (570) 586-8996.

The regular schedule of activities at the Center includes:

Bingo - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Forever Young Exercise Class
- Monday,Wednesday, and Friday 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:15-11:00 a.m.
Yoga - Monday 11:15-Noon, Thursday 10:00-11:00
Craft Class - Monday, 1:00-2:30
Bridge Club - Tuesday 10:00-Noon, Thursday 9:30-Noon
Tai Chi (beginners) - Tuesday, 10-11, Thursday 11:00-Noon
Tai Chi (advanced) - Tuesday, 11:00-Noon
Line Dancing - Wednesday, 1:45-2:45
Watercolor Painting - Wednesday, 12:30-2:30
Blood Pressure Screening - 1st Wednesday of each month, 11:30-Noon
Cards - Monday, Wednesday, Friday


The Center often invites speakers to present programs before the noontime meal. These programs are generally given on Wednesdays. Past topics have included personal finances, personal and home safety, personal care facilities, health and life insurance options, and various methods for maintaining and improving health.
