In-Home Personal Care and Housekeeping

Telespond Senior Services, Inc., provides trained professionals, such as nurses aides and homemakers, in the client's own home. This program provides companionship and support to each individual in order to provide relief to families caring for an elderly loved one. Services are scheduled to best serve the needs of the caregiver.

The In-Home Personal Care and Housekeeping program enables the caregiver to pursue outside interests, run errands, keep scheduled appointments, visit with friends, and generally provides a type of "stress-management" for the caregiver.

The In-Home Personal Care and Housekeeping program provides a safe and clean environment for older adults who otherwise would be unable to maintain their homes in a suitable manner, and adds to their independence by allowing them to remain in familiar surroundings in lieu of institutionalization. Self-esteem is greatly improved for these consumers knowing that they may continue to live in their own home through the assistance of  Telespond.

Homemakers provide light housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and other similar jobs. Heavy duty cleaning services are not provided.

Personal Care Attendants provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and will also provide homemaking duties such as laundry, and/or meal preparation, as time allows.

Staff members are all qualified, experienced employees and are medically approved for service. A criminal record history check is also completed on all employees.

In-service trainings are provided periodically to the program's nurses aides and homemakers in an effort to keep them apprised of numerous consumer needs.
