Bernard Albert

Bernard Albert was born c. 1810 in Ettenheim, Baden. He was a younger son of Jakob Albert and Magdalena Gutmann. In 1831, he married Caecilia Kopp, also of Ettenheim.

Children of Bernard and Caecilia:
Caroline, Maria, William, August, Martin, Henry, and Charles - all were born in Ettenheim.

Caroline married Charles Martens & had two daughters.

Maria's future is unknown. She was not named in her mother's succession in 1888. She may have become a nun.

William and August may have served in the Confederate Army and my have died during the Civil War. They were not named in their mother's succession in 1888.

Martin never married. He died in 1887.

Henry married Elizabeth McDonnell. Elizabeth had 13 pregnancies, but only three daughters who lived to adulthood. They had a son who was said to be exceptionally bright, but he died when he was 4 years old.

Their children were: Cecilia, Caroline, and Lorenza. Only one of them married and had children. One became a nun and lived to be over 90. Caroline never married and lived to be over 90. The other daughter married an Olivier.
