Not a good day for Terry Labonte.
Terry Labonte hit the wall in practice for the 1996 Winston
Cup race at PIR. This is the closest I get to photographic
ability. Talent not required...I just happened to there to take
the picture. Terry Labonte got out of the car on his own, but
did sustain a broken bone in his left hand and enough damage to
the car that he had to go to a backup. A bad deal for Terry
who entered the week with the lead in the Winston Cup points race.
However, to his credit, he left the track with an even larger
lead in the points and went on to win the 1996 Winston Cup Championship.
That's tough!
