When Arthur Spyeking dove off the diving board at the city pool, he never dreamed he would find himself awakening on board a pirate ship. And that was only the beginning. Shipwrecked on the Island of Torr, Arthur met a friendly princess named Ann. Together, they traveled to the Land of Oz. There they were persued by Kiex, an especially ugly witch, who wanted a valuable ring that Arthur had. The story is exciting. The illustrations place more emphasis on humor than realism. Kiex is often depicted, in spite of her evil witchly appearance, in a halter top and shorts. Still, they are satisfying. Strongly recommended.
