RECOMMENDED FORMATS

TEXT:

Save formatted, styled, and illustrated text for screen display and printing in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF format).

Save a "backup" archival copy in ASCII format (text only).

 

GRAPHICS:

Save scanned images of higher resolution for archiving and printing (144-300 plus dpi) in JPEG or TIFF format, depending on quality/file size constraints.

Save graphics for CD screen display at 72dpi in Adobe Acrobat.

Save graphics for multimedia projects at 72dpi in JPEG, GIFF, PICT, or TIFF depending on the project and platform.

 

AUDIO:

Capture and edit at: 16 bit / 22.050kHz / mono; then down-sample to 8 bit / 22.050kHz / mono (unless the is a specific need for stereo).

Save audio as cross-platform (flattened) QuickTime (.MOV).

 

VIDEO:

Save as cross-platform (flattened) QuickTime (.MOV).
