Masters achievements: Jim wrote in early 1997: "I only recently found out that there was such a thing as a masters. I am training seriously now to participate. . . . My first timed (400m) in January was 80 flat. By the end of January I was down to 72.5 and I haven't yet cranked it all the way down. I want to be in the 60s before I start to race."

Trivia: Jim's first race was April 19, 1997. Results to be posted.

CEO's note: Sprint endurance comes slowly, especially after a long layoff. But with proper care, Jim should master the art of the long dash again.
