Background: In 1933 there was a split in the CG7 (above). One group set up shop in Stanberry under the leadership of Burt Marrs. The other group set up shop in Salem, W.V. under the leadership of A.N. Dugger. (Herbert W. Armstrong went with Duggers group). Later, in 1949 representatives from both of these groups re-merged to become the Church of God (Seventh Day) General Conference, with offices in Denver, CO. (see above). However, there was also a remnant from each group that chose not to re-unite. Thus the two separate splinter groups remained also, and have survived to this day. The remnant of the Stanberry group was reestablished at Meridian, Idaho.

Background: The COGSC is an independent Church of God with nearly a twenty year history. Until December, 1998, it maintained a nominal affiliation with CGI in Tyler Texas. Governed by an elected Church Council, it is currently pastored by Dr. David Antion, one time ministerial director for the WWCG. The COGSC adheres to traditional Church of God doctrinal beliefs and, through its affiliated Guardian Ministries, co-operates actively with other independent groups.

Their aim is to reach the millions who have been indoctrinated into the theory of evolution, which leads to the rejection of the Bible as false, creation as myth and Christ as irrelevant. They challenge evolutionists by presenting scientific and historical evidence for Christ, for Creation, and for the accuracy of the Biblical record. Background: Zola Levitt is a Messianic Jewish Ministry (not a church).
