Archbishop John P. Foley July 13, 1996

Dear Archbishop Foley,

Your prompt response to my letter last year (No55504/95) leads me to hope that you will see this urgent message and respond to it.

In the current issue of The Tablet (July 13. 1996) you are quoted as saying, "The communications media will remain the most effective means to make Christ's Good News known now and in the future." The following is submitted as the most effective way to create conditions that will favor communication of Christ's Good News, and at the same time favor common values of most every religion.

A vision of hope for humanity is needed that will appeal to people of good will in every creed and culture. The Earth Trustee vision and agenda can accomplish this. It is based on the words of Jesus," Agree with your adversary." Earth Trustee actions can obtain warm support from people who disagree about other matters.

Were His Holiness to support the Earth Trustee Agenda -- described in the Earth Magna Charta on my web site, implementing its vision by approving and providing daily Earth Minutes, a template for action could result. When the next Bosnia or other crisis occurs the following could happen:

The majority of the human family, aided by global Earth Minutes on radio and TV,would join in heartfelt prayer each day with love for the antagonists and faith they would find common ground, resolve their differences and join the global effort for peaceful progress in the human adventure. This could be a common effort supported by leaders of other religions. A new global state of mind would then harbor new hope for the future.

Please look at the enclosed items and access my Web Site: www.earthsite.org. What I am trying to do there could be done much better by you -- and I would be happy to see this happen.

May God guide you and bless you in what you do.

Sincerely,

John McConnell
