SUCCESSFUL PRAYER
Faith and prayer will increase by attention to answered prayer.
It is discouraging to see nothing but hundreds of cries for help on Internet Prayer Boards. Messages of answered prayer should be separately and effectively listed. Or a star (*) could indicate messages reporting answered prayer.
In this age of science, scholars and doctors are seeking evidence and understanding of miracles in healing and answered prayer. They can benefit when people document answered prayer on Internet.
While most answered prayer involves people in personal contact, there is evidence of the power of united prayer for global problems. Most recently the Earth Day Web Site requested global simultaneous prayer for peace in Peru. 1900 GMT December 22 was designated for global prayer for peaceful resolution of the hostage crisis. A few churches warmly responded and 350 hostages were released the next day. (See:
In 1994 a boy from Palestine and a girl from Israel rang the United Nations Peace Bell on Earth Day, March 20. They were then joined by viewers in silent prayer for peace in Jerusalem. Progress in the peace process immediately followed.
While there are many differences about creeds, most people of religious faith believe God hears their prayers. If you believe your creed is best, prove its value by your Email reports of answered prayer. The best evidence that your faith in a future life is true is to demonstrate its value in this life.
It is time to document and herald the fact that many prayers are answered: That when living faith engages heartfelt love, miracles often happen.
