The "draw" of ninja turtlesWhy I draw...      I recently heard somneone say that they were too embarrassed of thier ninja turtles artwork to put it up online. This got me to thinking. There are a LOT of pieces of art that I have up still on my site that I am semi-embarrassed at the crudeness of. Yet I keep those pieces up.       Why? I have to ask myself that question. After pondering it for a while, I came to a few conclusions. I keep those up because I feel art is a growing process. The more you do, the better you get at it.I know I've improved substantially since I began drawing ninja turtles, and I'm glad I keep those pieces up so I can compare, and have something to look back on and watch for a trend of something I'm doing wrong in all of them.       I also feel a little discoraged because there are such awesome artists out there like Amandatello, Jawi, and Miss Mab (to name a few). Then when I talk to them I realize they feel the same way I do about artwork. They don't think thiers is good enough. Wow... it's amazing that they can have doubts like that! I look up and admire these people, but realize that the only way you can get there is practice, practice, practice!       There is one time when I think it's okay not to draw. I don't think you should draw if it is not fun for you. I mean, that's the main purpose of fan-art, or any kind of art for that matter! But if little scribbles in your notebook make you happy, put them up for the world to view!! No one's going to diss you for not being as good as Van Gough (and if they do, tell them that at least you still have both your ears attached) *G* So, Keep drawing ya'll! I know I will!                       ~Webmistress Mica
