SATURDAY NIGHT PARTY ALBUM,"
*
*Jake Waldsen, Nationally Syndicated Review

TUNES:
1. Enjoy The Ride 2. Give Me The Keys 3. The Man Who Got
Thrown Out Of The Green Parrot 4. Conch Dreams
5. Drunken Sailor 6. Opening The Bar 7. This Magic Night
8. Making It Up As I Go Along 9. Lobsters From Outer
Space (Took My Beer Away) 10. Never Again (Until Tonight)
11. Ain’t Gonna Die Inside (Evening At The Schooner Wharf Bar)
12. I Wanna Get Drunk, I Wanna Get Laid, And Monday
Morning Seems Like Two Years Away (Key West, Friday, 9 pm)
13. I’d Help Her Pack Her Bags If I Weren’t Too Drunk 14. Baby,
Don’t You Let Me Down (Lyin’ On The Streets Of Key West Town)

Tracks 1 and 2: "Enjoy The Ride" and "Give Me The Keys," double sided single released in August, 1992.
Later released on the album ANYWHERE USA in December, 1995. Prior to this collection, currently out
of press and unavailable.

Track 3: "The Man Who Got Thrown Out Of The Green Parrot," from the CD, CONCH DREAMS. The
tune that one London critic dubbed, "perhaps the most hilarious single record I've ever heard, as well
as being a gigantic, if tongue in cheek, slap in the face to the ‘clean and sober’ movement of recent
years."

Track 4: "Conch Dreams," title track from the CD of the same name released August, 2000.

Track 5: "Drunken Sailor" is the traditional sea chantey, only with Bill’s own set of verses on dealing with
a hangover in Key West. Released on the 1992 Album MIRRORS. Prior to this collection, currently out of
press and unavailable.

Track 6: "Opening The Bar." Single released in November, 1992. Later released on the album
ANYWHERE USA in December, 1995. Prior to this collection, currently out of press and unavailable.

Track 7: Track From The Album SOUND AND FURY. Released August, 2001.

Track 8: "Making It Up As I Go Along" from the 1995 Album ANYWHERE USA. Prior to this collection,
currently out of press and unavailable.

Track 9: "Lobsters From Outer Space (Took My Beer Away)." from the CD, BEACH BUM BOOTLEG.
Recorded live in Key West, November, 1999.

Track 10: "Never Again (Until Tonight)," shouldn’t be confused with the later song "Never Again" which
appeared on SOUND AND FURY. This one is a crazed trip through waking up hungover with someone you
don’t even recognize, and then going out and repeating the process the next night, and the next, and the next.
Prior to this collection, currently out of press and unavailable.

Track 11: "Ain’t Gonna Die Inside (Evening At The Schooner Wharf Bar)" from the CD, CONCH DREAMS.
Released August, 2000.

West, Friday, 9 pm.)" recorded November 27, 2003 in Montreal. Previously unreleased.

BILL'S NEW CD

Running the gamut everywhere from some of arguably the most
hilarious tracks Jabanoski has ever penned ("It's a Waffle House Kinda
Morning," "He's Got Those Pussy-Whipped Blues," "Drinkin' Again," etc.),
to wickedly funny and disturbingly powerful political satire ("They're
Sending Me to Guantanamo," "FK You Rednecks, I Love The Dixie Chicks"),
to straight ahead damning outrage at the ultra right-wing government and
the corporate controlled media which supports it, this is Jabanoski's best
work since the unquestioned brilliance of 2002's FLORENCE MARTUS.
The literally stunning "What's Really Happening," as well as "Clear
Channel Radio," stand out as particularly courageous, considering this
is the first, and to my knowledge, the only musical artist who's had the
guts to audaciously dare ninety percent of America's radio stations,
owned by the corporate giants he lambastes, to ban his music in the
same way Clear Channel has The Dixie Chicks. Yet, despite all this,
the true heart and soul of this collection, is in the human heart and soul.
From the stranded by bad choices, but still desperately "reaching out"
middle-aged men and women in "No-Tell Motel" and "Standing at the
Bar ...," to the pure anquish of the aging, forever suburbanite in "There's
a Dead Man's Switch on the Lawnmower," Jabanoski paints the broken
dreams, longings and last gasp hopes of everyday people as well, if not
better, than he ever has. But, as he always has, from the opening title
track, to the rock n' roll anthem closer, "I've Been A Stranger All My Life,"
which act like bookends to a masterful novel, he offers hope and the
chance of rejuvenation to anyone, young, old, or in-between, who has
the "courage to really live your own life." - Marshall Carter

SONGS:
1. CHASE THE NIGHT INTO THE DAWN
2. THEY'RE SENDING ME TO GUANTANAMO
3. I'M ALREADY DEAD
4. IT'S A WAFFLE HOUSE KINDA MORNING (A
DOUBLE-PECAN KINDA DAY)
5. THERE'S A DEAD MAN'S SWITCH ON THE
LAWNMOWER
6. FUCK YOU REDNECKS, I LOVE THE DIXIE
CHICKS
7. WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING
8. STANDING AT THE BAR IN THE MIDDLE
AGES
9. I'M DRINKIN' AGAIN
10. HERE IN THIS NO-TELL MOTEL
11. WHAT IF I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU
12. NOTHING BUT TIME ON YOUR HANDS
(NOTHING BUT WALLS TO COUNT THE
DAYS)
13. HE'S GOT THOSE PUSSY-WHIPPED
BLUES
14. CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO
15. I'VE BEEN A STRANGER ALL MY LIFE

MORE CDS BY ROADKILL BILL:
A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL - FOUR
YEARS UNDER THE BOOT HEEL
OF GEORGE W. BUSH

Be forewarned, those of you who love the tropical, beach
bum side of, as he's come to be known, "Roadkill" Bill
Jabanoski. You won't find any of the hilarious, wild, party songs
on this CD that have made [rightfully so] discs like
THE KEY WEST PARTY CD and BEACH BUM BOOTLEG
such popular hit records. The man, the genius performer and
songwriter he is, is almost an impossible contradiction,
as anyone who's ever listened to THE KEY WEST PARTY CD
and FLOENCE MARTUS on the same night, or ever heard him
on stage knows. One minute he's Jimmy Buffett, as good as
Buffett was in the seventies, the next he's Bob Dylan in his
early years, singing eloquently and angrily about racism, injustice,
and political greed. However, though he may remind one of
those performers, the style of his music and singing are always
distinctly his own.

This CD is Jabanoski the pure political animal, writing and
performing songs with all the passion, rage, and hellish vision in
his soul. It is a cry from the soldiers stationed, and dying every day,
in Iraq, who he spent four months last year living with, it is a cry
from the impoverished, the unemployed, and the forgotten millions
here at home, all of whom have fallen victim to a corrupt and
disgraceful presidency. In combination with the publication of
his first novel, SCARECROW, this October [also about the horror
of George Bush's Iraqi War], it is a cry for change in this country,
one which I and millions of others hope will be heeded.

- John Kiley
