This magical, cultural and culinary experience is set in the gorgeous town of Trevi, one of the most exquisite medieval places in all of Italy . The town is built in the hills of this important olive oil region. Infact Trevi is regarded as the capital of the Italian Olive oil .



Trevi is located between Spoleto and Foligno only 30 minutes from Assisi, and maintains the integrity of medieval architecture at 400mt above the sea level. The lessons will take place in the Palazzo Cent'amori which it means one hundred loves. The Palazzo Cent'amori was home of Charlotte Bonaparte. Direct niece of Napoleon Bonaparte she lived with her beloved husband Settimio Cen'tamori, a musketeer of cape and sword to the Pope in the 1850's.The palazzo basement (dungeons) are from the year 1050 and the rest of the house is from the 1400's.

 

In the magnificent kitchen of the palazzo we will learn and prepare hands on our succulent dishes. We believe that a genuine dish must contain the right ingredients prepared by the people that have been cooking these recipe's passed on from many generations before.

 

We will enjoy the fantastic view from Spoleto to Perugia dominating all the Umbrian Valley and the Martani Mountains as we are having the fantastic meal we just learned.

Trevi is an all year round full of activities town, with many cultural events and exhibitions including S. Francesco's museum art collection, The Trevi Flash Art museum, The National Museum of Olive Oil Culture. During October enjoy the whole month with medieval manifestations like the Palio dei Terzieri and taste all Umbrian medieval food in the taverns open only during this month .

Accommodation

Hotel Trevi

Your accommodation will be in the beautifully restored 15th century Hotel Trevi which is one of the most interesting building in the town. This historical building has been restored with the maximum delicacy offering high quality accommodation and service. Each room is decorated with very tasteful furnishings of Umbrian style most of which are junior suites. Every room has its own thermostat dial , TV , telephone , bathroom. T he Trevi Hotel accommodates for persons with disabilities.

In its romantic roof garden you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast overlooking the breathtaking view. Even though to Hotel Trevi has given only 3 stars we can assure you that it deserves to be a 4 plus stars.

And this is how our journey begins:

Day One Sunday

  • All the participants would have to arrive on Sunday morning from flights coming from Boston or New York City,
    The group will be transferred from Rome Fiumicino to Trevi by Minibus , the drive is 1:45 minutes.

  • Arrive at Hotel Trevi for the check-in and a buffet lunch arranged by the Hotel.

  • Enjoy the rest of the day in Trevi on your own.

Day two Monday

  • Breakfast at the Hotel 10:30 am First lesson at Palazzo Cent'amori

  • Followed by the lunch we have just prepared

  • 3:00 pm Visit to Gradassi Oil Mill

  • Evening free at your leisure


Day three Tuesday

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • 10:30 second cooking lesson

  • Followed by the lunch we have just prepared
  • 3:00 pm Visit to the beautiful city of Spoleto

  • Dinner on your own


    Day four Wednesday

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • 10:30 third lesson

  • followed by the lunch we have just prepared

  • 3: 00 pm visit to Assisi

  • Dinner on your own


    Day five Thursday

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • 10:30 fourth lesson · followed by the lunch we have just prepared

  • 3:00 pm Visit to Deruta, place the famous ceramic dishes

  • Evening free at your leisure

    Day six Friday

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • 10:30 fifth lesson ( last one )

  • followed by the lunch we cooked

  • Visit to Monetfalco and The Bea winery

  • Dinner at the Castle of Poreta for graduation night.

Day seven Saturday

  • Breakfast and check-out from Hotel Trevi

  • Depart for Rome Fiumicino Airport
