WHO ARE WE ? WHO ARE OUR MEMBERS?
We are a voluntary
organisation, made up of people from all walks of life, who have a personal
and/or professional interest in mental health issues and in people struggling
to cope with mental ill-health. We offer a real person-centred approach
to people, assuring confidentiality as well as good practice and procedure.
We do not offer a counselling service but we can inform people of the
agencies and resources they may approach for help. We cover the area
of North East Fife, including Levenmouth. |

WHAT ARE OUR AIMS?

- To promote
good mental health.
- To promote
equality of opportunity and to combat discrimination.
- To promote
self-determination and informed client choice.
- To increase
social awareness and understanding of good mental health and mental
illness.
- To develop
new services.
- To increase
knowledge of resources and services, with updated information.

WHAT DO WE DO?
- Provide a forum
for people who experience difficulties with mental health and enable them
to discuss issues which are important to them.
- Provide funding
for members to attend conferences, support small initiatives within existing
voluntary sector services.
- Consult with and
represent Service Users and Carers in the planning and development of services
in North East Fife
- Provide opportunity for work experience
in an office setting
WHAT DO WE PLAN TO DO ?

Provide information
for Service Users, Carers and Professionals

Monitor the
maintenance of excellence of current and future in-patient care
in North East Fife

Encourage the
development of further services to enhance Commmunity Care in North
East Fife.

Organise Social
Events for our members
- Develop the training
function in NEFAMH
