JFQ Joint Force Quarterly is published for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University. Most of the articles relate to current security, but there are some on military history. The magazine features very good book reviews. Although they are few in number, the reviews tend to be thorough.

Durfée Web Page This is a site belonging to a solid military historian who specializes in the early modern period, and he has some links to such sites. He is also an accomplished military artist and mapmaker. I have recommended him to a number of historians, and every one has been pleased with the quality of maps he has produced for their books, and at a reasonable price. H.M.C.S. HAIDA Home Page This ship is the last remaining example of the 27 Tribal Class destroyers built for the Royal Canadian Navy, the Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy between 1937 and 1945. The Tribals have been described as, "magnificent in appearance, majestic in movement and menacing in disposition." From a technnological standpoint, they featured some of the most advanced naval architecture, marine propulsion systems and weaponry of their era. This last survivor had a distinhuished carreer, serving in WW II and Korea. It is now located in Toronto, ON at Ontario Place. This web page not only features her history and photographs, it allows the visitor to take a virtual tour.
