The Ontario Turtle & Tortoise Society

Last update 01/07/2004

A society for all who are interested in turtles and tortoises. Our goals are: To share knowledge and information as to the proper care and raising of turtles and tortoises and all aspects pertaining to them. To use our combined voice and abilities to benefit the future of turtles and tortoises in the province of Ontario through education and conservation..

The society publishes a quarterly newsletter with articles on husbandry, herpitoculture, natural history, and conservation. It features regular columns on turtles and tortoises in the news, turtles and tortoises on the internet and computer, as well as staying up to date on regulations concerning turtles and tortoises in Ontario. All members will receive at least four newsletters for one years membership.

OTTS UPDATE

Over the past few months the OTTS has been paralyzed by a major computer malfunction. In fact the hard drive got fried effectively turning the computer into a pile of junk. It has taken some time and expense to procure a new computer but we are now back to full operating standard. Despite this major set back we have kept busy working on the newsletters and now have #19 complete and #20 more than 90% finished. Members should look for these in the mail over the next couple of weeks. The work on a new web site has also been on hold due to the computer failure and will now begin again. Many thanks to all for your patience through this problem. 01/07/2004
