The Passaic Class Monitor was the next generation of
ironclads produced for the Union Arsenal. The battle
experience of the USS Monitor would dictate the design elements
introduced in this class. Ten ships in all were commissioned. The
USS Passaic and her sister ships soon became the workhorses
of the Union fleet attacking many Southern forts. In 1/185th scale this kit
is almost 13" long when completed.
