This week's Gem Kirk could be a scene right out of Star Trek's "Space Seed" episode. Khan's cryogenic "sleeper ship," the SS Botany Bay, is rigged for tractor beam tow by the USS Enterprise. The hull surface of the Botany Bay, which left Earth 200 years ago in the year 1996, is pitted with meteor scars.
