HISTORY

The Woodward Inn is a stone structure that was built by John Motz in 1814.  It was built as an inn along the old Millheim Pike (which is now Route 45).  Charles and Celinda Hosterman bought the property in 1865. It was handed down through some of their eleven children and then eventually to their great-granddaughter, Christina Doren.  She and her husband, John, have operated the inn as a Bed & Breakfast for  fourteen years. The furnishings are  family pieces have been here for years and have become cherished antiques.
