Welcome to You've Played Enough (YPE)!
The purpose of this site is to provide a place to download and learn about
YPE! YPE is the easiest, fastest way to limit your child's computer time
without arguments.
A few quick questions for you...
Do you feel your child spends too much time on your computer?
Are you having constant arguments over when your child should get off
your computer?
Has your home computer become a battleground between you and your
children?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, join the
millions of families that have had a home computer take their lives
over. YPE may be the software package for you. YPE removes the arguments
about when to shut the computer off. YPE becomes the enforcer between
you and your child.
A few quick answers from me to you...
| What is YPE? |
YPE is a software program that I wrote for my girlfriend. It
provides a way for a parent to shut a computer down or off without
arguing with your child. You specify the time, and YPE asks
Windows to shut the computer down at that time. No amount of
whining or crying will stop it. You don't even have to be there
when it happens! |
| How do I get YPE? |
Download YPE by clicking right about here. |
| How do I use YPE? |
Download YPE, unzip the file and run the setup program.
When you launch YPE, just pick a time to shut the computer down, click
OK, then turn the computer over to your child. When the time
arrives, the computer shuts down. No arguments, no questions, no
pleading, no begging, no crying. |
| What computers does YPE run on? |
YPE should run on any computer that uses Microsoft Windows 95,
Windows 98 or Windows ME. YPE will probably also run on WindowsNT
or Windows 2000, but I haven't tested it there.
And just a quick note if you have purchased a computer recently, I
have done some limited testing with YPE on Windows XP Home Edition and
it does appear to work.
|
| What does YPE cost? |
YPE is currently a use limited, no charge program. |
| What level of YPE is currently released? |
The current version is 3.0. |
| Is there any documentation with YPE? |
Yes, a manual and an FAQ is included with the ype.zip
file. |
