MOJO and MJF Updates
The next Mobile Jazz Festival event will be a concert by
THE US AIR FORCE FALCONAIRES JAZZ BAND
at The Pavillion at Battleship Park on the Causeway in Mobile Alabama on November 14, 2007.
The concert will start at 6:30 PM and admission and parking for the event will be free. Although the concert is free tickets will be required. Information on how to obtain free tickets will be announced in local area newspapers and on radio and TV or by calling the MJF at (251) 626-9200.
The Mystic Order of the Jazz Obsessed (MOJO) is Mobile Alabama’s jazz lovers’ society and is opened to all of those that enjoy jazz and want to help promote this original art form throughout the Gulf Coast region of the USA.
MOJO’s Jazz Jambalaya series began in January of 2003 and has continued to be a great success. This monthly jazz event is held on the last Monday evening of each month. Each of these events feature the music of and a tribute to a famous jazz artist. Additionally Jazz Jam Sessions are sponsored by MOJO throughout the year. More details are provided at monthly MOJO meetings or by contacting the MJF at caporaleb@aol.com.
The Mobile Jazz Festival sponsors jazz concerts at various locations throughout the Mobile, Alabama area. We are currently working on this year's program. Watch this web site for additional information on this year's MJF event as well as for future Mobile area jazz events.
The Mobile Jazz Festival is dedicated to bringing live jazz performances and jazz education to the Gulf Coast region of the USA.
